“Enjoyable experience but...”
Reviewed August 2, 2014

First time there and only went because of LivingSocial coupon. Overall, an enjoyable dinner with a nice wine menu but a somewhat limited dinner menu. The halibut was excellent (tasty, flavorful and thick) but you have to order a side to complete the meal. My partner had a sirloin dish that came with fries which he liked. We were there early on a Friday evening and it was fairly empty and quiet upstairs. By the time we left after 7:00 p.m., there was a wait and it was becoming rather noisy. A little too pricey to return in spite of very pleasant service and good food.

“Good food and ambiance but over-priced”
Reviewed July 31, 2014

Have eaten several times at the Vine Brook Tavern over the past year. Have generally enjoyed my meals, but the price tags are consistently ~30% more than what you'd pay elsewhere. Most recently, my family of 3 went there for dinner. We had 1 small appetizer (cornbread), 3 entrees, and 1 dessert, and 2 rounds of drinks (beer/wine and a Shirley Temple). It was $145. For those prices I expect the food to be consistently excellent, not just a B-/B. Their service is always excellent, thought, Great waitstaff.

“Hip spot in Lexington Center”
Reviewed July 31, 2014

Very cool, hip spot in the center of Lexington. Great menu with a something for everyone. The specials were actually special and very good. Nice beer selection. Upstairs looks like a cool place to hang out on the weekends. Our reservation was accepted, table was waiting when we arrived, service was excellent, and bathrooms were clean. Absolutely no complaints!

“Excellent Food & Even Better Service”
Reviewed July 20, 2014

We've been repeat patrons of Vine Brook for more than a year, because we've consistently enjoyed good food, cocktails, and comfortable atmosphere there. But on this particular occasion the stars aligned for Vine Brook to provide an exceptional evening. The highest compliments go to our waitperson, Molly, who demonstrated an extraordinary familiarity with the menu and the details of content and construction of appetizers, entrees and desserts. And she did so with wonderful humor, an easygoing, relaxed, likeable personality, and spot-on efficiency. The lobster tacos and the scallop BLT, both recommendations by Molly, were top notch fare. The creme brullee, again Molly's recommendation, was an excellent cap on a wonderful meal.

“Depends”
Reviewed July 15, 2014 credit card Amex Card Member Review

If you don't mind a menu in French and not enough light to read the menu, you
Will be fine. The waitress was awesome and the food was good. Baked chicken, garlic mashed, and spinach Ina lemon butter sauce was filling. The iced tea was exceptionally brewed.
