Although kept nice, Lexington Green was not an old soul feel.
Framingham, MA center has more an old soul feel.

“Visit a battle green of the Revolutionary War”
Reviewed May 1, 2013

This is not a super exciting attraction, but it is historical and worth a walk through if you happen to be in Lexington. Its a large green in the center where there are some monuments/statues and plaques that tell about the history of the area.

This is a well maintained historic area where the revolution all started. A nice quick must see for all Americans.

“Battle of Lexington Re-Enactment on Patriots Day”
Reviewed April 17, 2013

I grew up South of Boston, so I really didn't get a chance to make it up to the early morning re-enactment. Since I live nearby, I really have no excuse, especially as someone who enjoys history. Whether you live a stones throw from the Battle Green, or come from a distance away, the trick is to get to an event like this early(this year, I got there a little after 3 a.m.), and there was hardly anyone there when I got there. Usually people arrive around 4:30 or shortly thereafter. I love the history that is in Lexington. The battle re-enactment is a pretty accurate depiction on the events that happened that day, despite the fact there are a number of more buildings in the area. The re-enactment, from the time the bell rings to the time the last shot is fired takes about 40 minutes. It is truly a must see for anyone who is into history. If you have not been to see it, it is a must see...

“Dress rehearsal for Patriots' Day”
Reviewed April 9, 2013

They may be little boys (of both sexes) that like dressing up and playing with guns, but they certainly know their history (or at least, those that I spoke to, or overheard, do). They are more than happy to debunk myths, and point out discrepancies in reports of what happened.
Earlier in the day, before the re-enactors started to mass, there was a guide in period outfit who was there to help tourists such as ourselves, and answer any questions we might have.
