We really love Starwood hotels. Our favorite is the W, of course, but we can't actually afford them most of the time. We were really thrilled, therefore, when Aloft started up because we love the hip and modern vibe and the fun decor of these places. We have found them to be consistently dependable and affordable places to stay. This particular Aloft was great on the first night - the usual room, laid out as always, refrigerator is a useful perk, love the shower. We got a few yummy things for breakfast in the morning and used the excellent pool and the gym here. The second night was a Friday, and it was noticeably louder with a young clientele of (we guessed) wedding guests all there to hang out and party in each other's rooms. We remember the fun of that, but the slamming doors and loud voices in the hall can be a bit much once you've entered middle age and have young kids. We didn't complain because we used the white noise on our phone and did manage to get our son to sleep without issue, but if I needed to stay there on a weekend again in the future, I think I'd try to request a room away from other groups and see if that helped. The last time we were in the Boston area we stayed at the sister hotel, Element, across the way. When it comes down to it, we are much more in the Element phase of our life and we really love that place, so we will probably stay there on the weekends in future even if it is a bit more expensive. We still love Aloft, though!

We basically needed a place to stay for one night before heading north on 95 and this fit the bill. The price, about $85, was far lower than hotels closer to Cambridge/Boston, and we didn't mind being outside the city center. It's new, clean, and the rooms are small but efficiently designed. The lobby is a big strange. They are trying for a cool, lounge vibe but it feels low budget and doesn't quite hit the mark. Nevertheless, we had a comfortable sleep and were then on our way. Would not recommend for an extended visit, but a fine place for sleeping and quick highway access.

Surrounded by the woods, butting up against Minute Man National Park, aloft Lexington really gave a nice respite from the hustle-bustle of Boston. Traffic, too, was never bad in the times we were traveling between (we rented a car). Close to Concord, quick access to the highway, for the price, this was a great value, too. Foregoing housekeeping warrants a $5 gift certificate to use for the cafe or the bar. The staff were friendly and helpful, the beds comfortable, a really nice bathroom. I'd stay here again, for sure.

Room Tip: In this setting, all rooms are quiet, taking for granted that neighbors in rooms nearby are quiet. O...

-Bed linens stained yellow, terrible saggy mattress and pillows
-No hot water at night
-They 'claim' that for every day you refuse room service you get a 5$ coupon to be used at xyz bar or refuel breakfast, however nowhere does it say it can ONLY be used on food (even at the bar). When I asked staff about this, she was RUDE and UNHELPFUL and refused to do anything to remedy the situation.
-The refuel area claims to be open 24 hours but breakfast was closed by 10 am, except for packaged food.
-Construction noises first thing in the morning. One day in the room right next to ours, the next right outside the building near our room.
-Charged extra for a king size bed but gave us a queen and insisted it was a king (we have a king, I know what it's supposed to be).

Would NOT stay here again.

Dear mickm23,
Thank you for choosing Aloft Hotels during your recent visit to Lexington. We're ecstatic you tried us out and enjoyed your stay with us. W XYZ Bar is a fun atmosphere for our guests to meet and mingle with other travelers while sipping on signature cocktails. We're glad to hear you enjoyed our made-to-order breakfast options as we enhanced our breakfast options earlier this year. Thanks again for the positive feedback and we look forward to hosting you again in the future.

The room was very clean and very comfortable. We loved the decor and ambiance we encountered in the lobby. Wi-fi was quick and reliable. One complaint is that there was that when we went to shower late at night, there was no hot water. Other than that it was a great stay. After a long day of driving we took advantage of the little store in the lobby. That was super convenient. And the staff was friendly and helpful. I'd stay again if I were in Lexington if only for those super comfortable beds!

Room Tip: Ask for something at the end of a hallway. We could basically hear anyone that was outside our door...

I booked online an hour before arrival and paid $99 for a king room on a Saturday. Hotel is located 12 mi from Boston Harbor and at the entrance to Minuteman National Park visitor center. I traveled alone for R&R. Check in was quick, I am an SPG member. The desk clerk wrote her name on my key envelope, a first. I requested the top, 4th floor as I saw a wedding schedule stating they would be in the bar after the ceremony. The "concept" lobby is open, colorful and has contemporary music in the lobby, fitness and pool. There is a courtyard between the bar and the pool. The fitness room is well equipped, even with yoga mats, balance balls, free weights and magazines. The pool is small but the space is terrific with big loungers, a shower, non-chlorinated pool and music! It was so warm not need for a noisy hot tub.

The room, 439, is great. Bring cables to hook your ipad or PC to the huge flat screen TV, Desk, smallish closet, safe, cofee station and minifridge in the modern room. The toilet is in with the shower and there is no tub. The shower has an obscured glass wall into the sleeping area. The king bed was very comfortable, the electric retro clocked ticked somewhat annoyingly and it turned out to be 2 hours behind so I missed an engagement!

The cable/electrical box under the desk and visible from the bed was missing the cover, dangerous with a toddler, the carpet was frayed as was the bath mat. These maintenance items were overlooked, and when it rained buckets were set up in the lobby hallway as the ceiling leaked. That may indicate mold behind the panels.

I had a Health Choice Asian Bowl and oreos from the snack area for $11. There is yogurt, ice cream, micro popcorn and lots of candy for purchase. Due to that clock I missed breakfast and can't comment, but the a la carte was very pricy. Many good restaurants are 5 minutes away in Lexington as well as boutique shopping and an art house cinema.

My blinds went all the way down, but I could here the rooms adjacent raising and lowering theirs late and early. You have to awkwardly lean over the desk to control them by a chain loop.

Overall an excellent, well priced stay. The maintenance issues should be addressed ASAP. Trail bikers will be in heaven with the excellent system.

Room Tip: Fourth floor if you want to sleep.
