I took a trip to the Berkshires with friends for a ski weekend and stayed at the Yankee (we stay there every summer for Tanglewood and theater events). As always, the rooms were spotless, the staff friendly and wonder how they can offer such amenities as hot coffee and continental breakfast in the morning, given the very reasonable room rate. I also want to mention that, although they were really busy that weekend, Our room was very quiet ~ we didn't hear noise in the hallway or from our neighbors.

Keep up the good work!!

I stayed at the Lantern Inn last weekend with my husband and father and was very happy with our stay. The Inn is approximately 20 minutes from Jiminy Peak Ski Mountain and was one of the nicest ski area hotels for its price that I've experienced in a while. The rooms were spacious with a very comfortable bed, mini fridge, and small balcony. Breakfast was included and was excellent: make your own omelets, belgian waffles, coffee, juice, yogurt, pastries, cereals, toast, etc. The rooms were quiet and we didn't hear any noise from the hallway or neighboring rooms (impressive because it's a family friendly place and there were lots of kids staying). Nice indoor pool, hot tub, and fitness room. The staff were very friendly. There are a few restaurants within walking distance (sports bar and grill, chinese food, Friendlys). We walked across the street to the sports bar and were happy with the big menu and draft beers. This inn is spotlessly clean and a good choice.

My family with two kids- ages 6 and 9 were very pleasantly surprised about the quality of the hotel considering the very reasonable room rate. We stayed in the main building, on the same floor as the pool, and the reception areas was nice and clean, friendly service, nice pool for the kids with a small jacuzzi area for the adults. My kids loved it- there were many families staying there. There was even a decent continental breakfast included. The room we were in was also nice and comfortable- two queen sized beds, and roomy enough for all 4 of us. I would definitely stay there again if we go skiing at Jiminy Peak or Butternut.

We will definitely go back. The price was very reasonable but the service staff was great and even better, they allowed our dog (85lb chocolate lab Toby to stay too!)...I travel for business every month and frequent 5 star hotels, when i travel for leisure, I don't want to pay the price...but this was better than I had hoped...imagine this... we checked in (and they were pretty busy in the lobby area), we arrived in our room and within 5 minutes the phone rings to check to see if the room was to our liking and if we had everything we needed! No hassles about the dog, a great area out back for him to walk, side entrance for the dog to come in and out...and a hot breakfast omelet made to order...what could be better?

We stayed just one night at the Yankee Inn in Lenox and were more than pleased. The entrance and interior of the hotel and lobby appeared to be in very clean condition and even smelled nice. The people working the front desk were accommodating and friendly. Our room had a King size bed, fireplace and a small deck. The fireplace was great and added a nice romantic light and ambiance to the room; the fireplace made the room feel quite warm, but we just opened the sliding door a crack and that fixed that. The bathroom was also pristine clean and roomy. The bed was very comfortable also. We also used the jacuzzi and pool at night and both those were obviously clean and well-maintained. There were only two minor negatives about the place: there was no coffee table (it just seems like there should have been one in front of the sofa) and the bathroom fan was quite loud. Other than that, there is nothing else to complain about.

We also went to dinner at a great steakhouse about 5 mins away called Dakota where the food was delicious (they have the best brown/nutty bread) and the place has a very nice woodsy/country feel to it, with fireplaces in almost every room.

I would DEFINITELY stay at the Yankee Inn again, look forward to staying there again and would recommend it to friends and family.
