“Clean, Comfortable, Cost Effective”

Hotel was in a great location, close to Stockbridge and Greyrock. Very clean room and the little balcony was a welcome treat after a long day taking in the foliage (room 409). My only negative comment would be regarding the breakfast. Although the food was fresh it was very basic, no frills.

Room Tip: Stay in the main hotel, rooms are new!

The Berkshires are expensive and this was the best price point we could find. The Yankee Inn was the Hampton Inn but there's now a new Hampton.

The word "Inn" makes this property sound quaint, but it's not. Just a run of the mill motel on a busy highway. Breakfast was excellent. The hardwood floors in the room were a nice change. Bed was ok.

Classic roadside motel, with various comfort for customers.
It is available an outdoor swimming pool and inside the main building, the indoor pool and spa.
The rooms are quite large and comfortable.
The breakfast that is included in the price of the room is acceptable.

I felt misled by the title 'Inn'. In reality it is a motel on a busy main road. The room was clean and adequate, but all the doors on our block seemed very tight fitting so it was impossible to shut them quietly. Result was we were woken very early both by early risers (not their fault) and traffic noise. Our coffee maker was faulty which resulted in all our electrics cutting out. Not what you need at 7am. Overpriced for what it is

Room Tip: Avoid the 'South' block

We only stayed one night, but I wish we could have stayed longer. Although our room was in the older building, we were pleasantly surprised at how well appointed it was. It had many amenities reserved for hotels of a higher rating. The room was clean and roomy. There were three lamps in the bedroom, plus a ceiling lamp, so it was easy to get the lighting we needed at any given time. The carpet was that of a 4 star hotel in the city- very nice. There was a window in the front and in the back so that we could get great cross ventilation. The doors were paneled, rather than hollow, and the wood trim was milled, rather than plain...very nice touches that made the room seem more luxurious.

The bed was very comfortable and there were plenty of pillows. I don't know how they did it, but the sheets smelled very fresh. The bathroom was divided, with the sink outside of the shower room. This area was unusually expansive, which made getting ready in the morning much easier.

The breakfast was impressive! You could make your own waffles, or enjoy cereal, muffins or bagels, hard boiled eggs, and yogurt. It was the best breakfast we had on our trip through New England.

We would definitely stay here again!

We stayed for one night at the Yankee Inn, we feel that the 2 star rating given this hotel is too low. We were greeted at registration by a friendly, efficient and dedicated clerk who promptly handled our reservation and sent us on our way up to room #413 with a couple of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies We received a great rate. Unfamiliar with the area, we inquired about a spot for dinner, she gave us a good recommendation, which we should have taken by foolishly did not. The room was spotless, very large, had every convenience we could possibly need, Wi-Fi was very good. The hotel offered a heated swimming pool and hot tub which we took advantage of for about 45 minutes. A good nite's sleep and we were refreshed and ready to continue our Berkshire adventure. Check out was even easier then check in. We took a walk out back of the hotel to a small pond on the property, as it was very early AM mist was rising from the pond and made for nice photos. Need a good, clean, high quality hotel for reasonable prices? This is the one.

Room Tip: Room 413 was avery close to complimentary breakfast dining area. Also, close to elevators to lobby.

Clean? Yup. Wonderful heated saltwater swimming pool? Yes! Worth a return trip? Not a chance.

It's a free market and a small motel room in Lenox near Tanglewood can command a hefty price in summer. Fair enough.

But to offer breakfast along -- even a modest one -- and then put out something as meager and pathetic as I saw this summer should in and of itself take this place off your list.

No kidding: I have visited a few correctional institutions for my work, one max security, and the breakfast served at each of them, while meager, offered an infinitely more fresh and inviting spread than this motel.

No variety, mostly packaged, bad coffee, virtually no fruit, a few cereal boxes.

A real insult for the price, given that a few touches at very little cost would make such a difference. This spread seemed almost designed to breed contempt.

Next time I'm checking into a local correctional facility.
