We stayed here while up in the Berkshire Mtns. Labor Day weekend for a wedding. The rooms were adaquate, clean and basic. We did have a problem getting online as the connection was very slow and the signal was extremly weak. I brought this to the managers attention and he said he would reboot the router. This did not correct the problem. The issue is that the wireless signal does not go thru the property well. Management is aware of this and it states this on their website that a connection cannot be guaranteed in every room. In this day and age this is something that should be corrected. If an internet signal is important to you for bussiness you might want to stay elsewhere. Other than that the stay was pleasent.

My college girlfriends and I chose the Yankee Inn as our hotel for our annual girls' weekend getaway this year to shop at the Lee Outlets. It was a fantastic choice. The hotel was very, very busy as there was a wedding nearby that most of the hotel guests went to, but the hotel was quiet at night and we didn't even notice when other hotel guests came back at night.

The continental breakfast offered more than I thought it would -- from omelets to waffles and then the standard muffins and cereal. It was all great.

If you choose the Yankee Inn, and need a local restaurant, check out Halpin's Grub and Grog which is almost right across the street. They take reservations (well, they did at least for our party of 6) and have a wide array of choices to please all appetites and also have live entertainment on weekends.

Thank you for a fantastic weekend getaway location!

First, please know that the Yankee Inn is not a bed and breakfast. It is a relatively modern, clean, and comfortable motel conveniently located right off Route 7 and close by to just about everything.

Our room in the main building faced the rear and had a balcony overlooking a pond and a small mountain to the west. We also had a gas-fired, easy to use, fireplace. A big plus. The room was more then adequate. The rooms in the front face the parking-lot and are likely to be less desirable.

Breakfast was included and featured an egg station, but I am not sure if the eggs are available all the time.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing west towards the pond in the main building.

My husband and I spent three nights at the Yankee Inn for a quick getaway in Sept and found the place to be clean, comfortable and well kept. We stayed in the main building, which is hotel style so cost a bit more than those in the south building, which is motel style. As other reviews had said, the hotel is not fancy or extravagant but it is a good alternative if you don't want to stay in motels or expensive B&Bs. The rate includes a decent continental breakfast. The Inn is located in central Berkshires so easy access to nearby towns such as Stockbridge, Lenox and others. We would stay here again.

The staff was very accommodating--offered (without being asked) to open the outdoor pool up when it was closed when we wanted to swim, offered to extend the made-to-order omlette service on the weekend, etc.

The hotel was clean, quiet, and well-kept. It was nothing extravagant, but perfect for our needs and the pool facilities were well done as well.

We had a family reunion at the Yankee Inn. Dealing with the manager was a pleasure; he was very accomodating, even of a last minute change in the number of rooms. The rest of the staff was also friendly and cordial. We had the use of the breakfast room for our dinners; no one pushed us out even when we stayed there quite late one night. The hotel rooms are spacious, very clean and nicely furnished, some looking out on a pleasant view of mountains, meadow and pond. Having such pleasant accomodations added to the fun of the event. We chose this hotel because we had been there before; we will certainly return.

Room Tip: Nice mountain views are from rooms facing the back.

We choose this hotel because it was close to the things we wanted to do on our 2 day mini vacation. The front desk staff was friendly and they made sure we were familiar with the area. We stayed in the main building on the second floor facing the back. We had a room with a king bed and the balcony was a nice bonus. The room was clean and roomy. Our favorite part of the room was the pillows on the bed. Both my husband and I had great nights sleep and we attribute that to the pillows. The breakfast room was on our floor which made it very convenient in the morning to just walk down the hall to breakfast. There was a nice variety of food and beverages.
The one thing we did find upon coming back to the hotel at night was the lack of parking. The hotel was full both nights we stayed and we had to park in an area that didn't have parking spaces marked out so we didn't know if that was part of their property or not. The lighting in the area was good so we weren't concerned with our safety.
The other thing I would comment on was not having high speed internet in the rooms. They have dial-up that is available in the lobby for your laptops and they also have computers available to use in the lobby.
I would also recommend going to both Mt. Greylock and Tanglewood. Mt. Greylock gives you beautiful views of the area whether you drive to the top or take advantage of the hiking trails and Tanglewood was a great place to enjoy the music of the BSO.
