BREAKFAST, where to go?
We had frequently gone to a staple of the East Coast but we decided we wanted something a bit more unique and local.
We had heard that the Cranwell Resort was open to the public and so we decided to give it a go.
We were welcomed by the hostess and taken to the main dining area, the Music Room.
This was a Wednesday, middle of the week and the place was half filled, and to our surprise, a well stocked breakfast buffet was available.
Those of you who have read my other reviews may have noticed, I am a sucker for “all you can eat” and although I try to stay away from such venues, they have my name written all over 'em.
And so me-lady ordered a custom omelet made table side, I chose to sample the foods calling my name.
The selection was full of options, from eggs, to bacon/ sausage, home fried potatoes, to . . . to . . . to cereal, yogurt, toast, jellies/jams and biscuits and and and . . .
When we walked in we were provided a selection of newspapers to choose from and as we eat our breakfast, we reviewed the news in leisure.
A bite here, a paragraph there, open to the public and at a very sensible price.
Sorry (unnamed) restaurant, we will not be stopping in any longer, the Cranwell has quickly become our restaurant of choice when we are in the Berkshire of Mass.
