While our meal was good, the fire alarm went off just as we had started our main course. We had to evacuate the building for around 10/15 minutes until the fire service arrived to check that it was a false alarm (it was). Although the staff covered our meals with warm plates, the food had cooled down quite a lot by the time we returned to our table. No one asked if the food was still ok, there was little other acknowledgement of the disruption and certainly no offer of any compensation (a complimentary drink, at least?).
