“Lovely and Gracious Yes, Luxurious No.”

We agree fully with all prior reviews. The Inn is quite beautifully done and the Inn Keepers could not be nicer. I asked myself what information I could provide that would add insight to extra discriminating travelers. First, it is VERY comfortable. That is a sine qua non. They provide a very nice computer for your use and wi if is available everywhere.

Although I chose a suite, the aesthetic was not as good as the Inn. The cottages were small (not always top end fixtures or bed covers, but nice enough), very private, but Inn rooms are often less expensive and nicer The Inn itself is enormously soothing but not in the sense of most Relais et Chateaux, like the Charlotte Inn on Martha's Vineyard, for example, among others.

If it is luxury you want, this is not it. If it is gracious pleasant comy and warm surroundings with a lovely breakfast, proximity to town and the countryside, and personal attention to you as a guest, this is it.

If you go, do visit the orchard and Furnace Brook Winery--loads of fun.

So, in sum, do not buy the highest price room here-- it is not worth the cost--but is the Inn worth a stay? Absolutely. Just understand that some hyperbolic descriptions may not apply to well traveled persons who seek luxurious environs. My expectations are always very high--I travel a lot. About 1 in 10 Inns rate a 5 from me. This is an A- on my list, a solid 4 out of 5. I enjoyed its comfort, if not sybaritic luxury.

This was my first trip to the New England states, and it exceeded my expectations. The bed and breakfast was so quaint and "homey". The breakfast was delicious. My husband and I love organic foods, and were very happy to learn that those are the foods that you use. The accommodations were clean and cozy. The bed was extremely comfortable. The staff very professional, helpful and friendly. One recommendation would be to make sure that if breakfast is served beginning at 7:30 a.m., that everything is set up and ready by 7:30 a.m., not still being set up.

Overall, it was a most enjoyable experience. We can't wait to "come home again" soon! Thank you so much for helping to make our trip such a pleasant one.

Perfect setting for a reunion of longtime college friends! We travelled from 4 states, chose the Garden Gables Inn and we were not dissapointed ! We were greeted by the Innkeepers, John and Peggy who were very welcoming and accomodating ,as we arrived earlier than check in time. (They also granted an extension for us at checkout.) The Hilltop Orchards Suite (Room 12) was perfect for the five of us - tastefully decorated, stocked with all the amenities, private and quiet. Location of the Inn was central to everything on our agenda, the grounds were beautifully manicured. Breakfast at the Inn was cozy and comfortable- made to order and very fresh each day.

We visited the Furnace Brook Winery where we met one of the owners - she too was very welcoming and gave us a bit of history about the inn . Wine selections great.

We hope to return to the Garden Gables Inn for another reunion!

My husband and I stayed for a long weekend at this inn and found it to be delightful. The rooms were spotless, roomy, and inviting. The inn is located within walking distance of the village of Lenox but set back from the road so you get a sense of being away from the world that was very relaxing. The service was excellent--the innkeepers were attentive and very helpful and prepared a wonderful breakfast. They were very knowledgeable about what the village had to offer so we were able to walk to several recommended restaurants for some wonderful lunches and dinners. While the room rate is expensive, the service and quality were topnotch and we will definitely come again.

This place is as close to perfect as it's possible to find, and I'm not easy to please. I have travelled extensively overseas and expect value for money and high standards and Garden Gables didn't disappoint. The room was cozy, well furnished with good quality pieces, scrupulously clean and excellently maintained, and the open fire in our room was cleaned and ready for use with when we arrived. The Inn has a perfect location just a couple of minutes walk from old Lenox, but far enough that it feels bucolic and out of the way on a property surrounded by willow and maple trees. A few minutes walk in the other direction is Kennedy park which has beautiful scenery and a selection of walking trails, which you may appreciate after enjoying the organic breakfast buffet Peggy and her team prepare. John and Peggy (the Innkeepers) clearly work very hard and with a professional approach to maintain their high standards, and I sincerely hope their success continues long into the future.

Garden Gables is the most beautiful inn in the area. The location is perfect, a short walk to town. Peggy and John maintain a 5 star inn, they are very friendly and helpful. From the moment you enter the inn, you can see the very high level of detail. Everything is impecable. From the delicious homemade chocolate chip cookies, apple cider, chilled lemon water and fresh apples out all day. To the later afternoon fire in the fireplace in the living room , cheese, crackers, fruit and wine. Very comfy and so relaxing. We stayed in room 9, beautiful decor with a lovely porch. We visited the owners winery and apple orchard nearby which was great. Can't wait to return! Look no further for a great B&B !!
