“Wonderful!”
Reviewed December 9, 2012

First time in the Berkshires and will absolutely be returning. Denise is friendly and very helpful. She went out of her way to make our experience as wonderful as it was. the place is cozy and warm. breakfast is not just cereal. each morning, we ordered omelets and were not disappointed because Denise is also an amazing chef! Homemade breads and muffins, fresh fruit and yogurt. Homemade cookies and sherry also available to guests at no cost. The bed was better than hotel quality and the bedding was just too comfortable! The room cleaning service was very efficient. my husband loved how hot the shower water was! Went for the second annual caroling festival in Lenox and thoroughly enjoyed it. Again, garden gables is highly recommended. If you go, be sure to visit their winery! Delicious!

Room Tip: Room 4 was perfect for us. we loved the way the fireplace was in the corner.

This was our first trip to the Berkshires and we couldn't have picked a better place to stay! The inn is cozy and inviting. They provide modern amenities without sacrificing historic charm. We stayed for one night in early December and the beautiful decorations throughout the inn really put me into the holiday spirit! We loved sipping sherry by the fireplace and the complimentary breakfast was very tasty.

Our room was very comfortable and clean. I loved the gas fireplace and the jacuzzi!

All of the staff was pleasant and friendly, especially Denise, who made us feel welcome the moment we stepped in the door.

This was our first trip to teh Berkshires and we will certainly return. The inn is located actual steps from "downtown" Lenox. The bigger-name resorts have more land, but all require a big hike or drive to the town, and none have the charm of this place. Denise is knowlegeable and helpful, and the food is WONDERFUL. We stayed in Cottage 19 and could not be happier. It is worth the price and was a great initiation to B&B / Inn traveling. I highly recommend this property and the area in general.

Room Tip: Room 19 is the Macoun (sp?) cottage. End unit of 4 grouped together as a cottage (about 40 feet fro...

My husband and I have just returned from a lovely two night stay at Garden Gables Inn. We had just finished taking a group of 42 persons on a Canada New England cruise and after taking them to the airport we headed to New England for some relaxation and viewing of the glorious leaves. We have stayed in many charming places all over the world and Garden Gables Inn is right up there at the top. I shall list quickly all the wonderful memories that I shall recall for years to come. 1. Denise is absolutely marvelous! Makes you feel like you are home. Fabulous homemade cookies all day. Welcome cheese and fruit tray was glorious! Denise never tires of welcoming you even if you have been out for a short time. Helps tremendously with reservations for dinner, etc. 2. The breakfasts are "out of this world!" Loved the french toast made with homemade bread and the marvelous fresh maple syrup. The vegetarian omelet was beyond belief! All fresh vegetables. 3. Our room, #14 was very, very beautiful and so romantic with the fireplace. They always had new logs for us to burn each day. 4. Loved the enclosed back porch. The weather was cool, so the porch had the windows in so everyone could sit out and enjoy the beautiful foliage with a lovely heated room. Oh yes, music to dine by, even in the morning. 5. The service in the dining room was exceptional! The two young ladies could not do enough for you to make sure you had a very special experience. We will definitely return to this marvelous Inn. Just wish we could have stayed longer.

Room Tip: Room # 14 was FABULOUS. Huge 4-poster king bed. Fireplace with logs placed for burning each day...

Garden Gables Inn's warm welcoming atmosphere is instantly relaxing - a real breath of fresh air nestled in the Berkshire Mountains! This wonderful historic Inn's timeless vacation feel, is made even better by their recent addition of Erica Leopold's extraordinary facials. Erica has been taking care of my skin for five years, and no other facialist comes close to matching her results. She uses state-of-the-art techniques with the highest quality products, and sees to all the little touches that make the experience, for me, pure pleasure: healing music, wonderful massage, an immaculate room, good-quality sheets, and of course, her positive spirit. This all makes my skin and my heart feel nourished and energized!

A few weeks ago, I was inspired give my 92-year-old mother a facial for her birthday. She loved it, and said she felt completely rejuvenated, “like an emerging butterfly from a cozy cocoon!” We both highly recommend Erica’s Facials at the Garden Gables Inn. She's the best!

This is a wonderful inn off the main road out of old Lenox. Very picturesque. Stayed in room 15. Lots of stairs to get to it but a lovely room. Had a balacony but too cold and windy to go out on it.
Very good breakfast each morning.

Room Tip: Room 15 is lovely - if you don't want to do stairs then book one of the cottage rooms on ground...

My wife and I visited teh Garden Gables Inn last weekend and had a fantastic time. The Inn is welcoming and the staff is very attentive. We spend a peaceful afternoon in the Sherry Room reading and watching the fire. Their breakfast was great and offered at lot of different selections especially nice was the french toast. They also made a great recommendation for dinner - the Old Inn on the Green in New Marlborough - candlelight dinner - no lights in the dining room - very romantic. Thanks again for a fantastic weekend! Your Room 3 guests.

Room Tip: We liked the rooms with a fireplace.
