My family (three siblings and spouses) just spent a lovely weekend at the Cornell Inn. It was everything we look for in a B&B - comfortable, cozy rooms, welcoming owners and staff, and a tasty breakfast. Bonuses at the Cornell are a fully stocked bar for before and after dinner (they'll even make buttered popcorn), large multi-level deck with pond and waterfall, nice-sized living room, and lovely gardens. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again and will recommend to friends.

We spent four days at this lovely inn. We felt very welcome and at home. The owners made us feel very welcome at all times. Enjoyed chatting with Nell, one of the owners:)
The room was very quaint, and also very clean. Breakfast was provided and the fruit was good and fresh. Coffee, refreshments and fruit were available all day.
Would definitely stay there again if we visit the Berkshires.

Room Tip: If you are taking heavy bags, select a downstairs room.

Thank-you for the kind review. We greatly appreciate it! It was wonderful speaking with you and your extended family from around the world. I love how the world is so vast, and yet people and their common threads can make it seem so small and so personal.

Best wishes-

Generally avoid B and B s because they feel like you're staying in the spare bedroom of a elderly aunt who never threw anything away. The cornell inn room was clean and uncluttered, with comfortably aged furniture. And excellent reading lights, both over the bed and next to a comfy wingback chair. As others have noted, the breakfast was sumptuous and the hosts gracious and accommodating.

Room Tip: Ask for the room with the secret room..it's really just a large closet with a bed, but it provi...

Thanks for the nice review. We're so glad you enjoyed yourself at our Inn. We are most definitely not froo-froo, but we do try to give our guests 5 star treatment at all times. While we always have room for improvement, I think being just shy of one year in, we're on the right path! I agree with you, are breakfasts are amazing, biased as I might be! ;)

Cheers,
Nell

We could not have asked for a warmer welcome. The owner showed us over the main house and took us to our room, which fortunately was on the side away from the rather busy road. The room was smallish but pretty and very comfortable. We enjoyed sitting in the attractive grounds; there is a large stone patio, several seating areas, a waterfall, and a pond. However, road noise is always present. Breakfast was nicely presented and tasty, with a nice range of choices. We would visit again if called that way.

Room Tip: If you are a light sleeper, ask for a room away from the road.

Thank you for taking the time to write us a review. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay with us and in the Berkshires. I'm very happy guests are no able to take advantage of our wonderful outdoor areas, now that Mother Nature seems to be a bit less cranky, she was not nice to the North East this past winter and spring!

Very good wifi reception, excellent breakfast, clean but small room - named Helen. We didn't hear any noise from the street. Friendly hosts and fine clientele. Fine B&B. Will recommend it to our friends.

Thanks for your review. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay. While Helen is one of our smaller rooms, I too find it cozy and warm. I'm glad the noise from Main St. did not bother you, I find noise to be relative. We came from NYC, so I find Main St. quaint and tame compared to let's say Broadway or 5th Avenue. Yet, I know there are guests coming from more rural areas, or those that are simply light sleepers, unfortunately, I cannot control the flow of traffic, though that would be a wonderful skill to possess, be it in Lenox, or on the MASS PIKE! :) Thank you in advance for recommending our B&B to your friends, we appreciate any form of positive advertisement!

Best Wishes-

We really liked this place. Beautiful grounds, cozy setting, wonderful hosts and awesome breakfast. My only (very small) negative was that we picked too small a room (Abilgail). It was also kind of noisy because we were so close to the breakfast room and the sitting room. The bathroom was also tiny. That being said, we definitely want to go back. When we return, however, we will inquire about getting a bigger room that is further away from the "action". It was really a wonderful weekend.

Room Tip: As mentioned earlier, the Abigail, although charming, is a small room very close to the noise.

Thank you for the nice review. I'm glad overall you enjoyed your stay in the Berkshires and with us. While Abigail is not one of our smaller rooms, as it has a King size bed and 2 sitting chairs, I can see how it feels small. Abigail's trade off is having a King size bed and a small sitting area at the expense of a small bathroom. Perhaps if you have a chance to come back you can give us a ring and we can discuss with you the various rooms and their best attributes to find you the perfect fit! I personally prefer when guests call in to book rooms vs. the computer that way we can truly find out their needs, for example: do they want a bit more privacy, do they wish to be in the main house in case the weather is fickle and do not wish to walk outside to come for breakfast, do they wish for a room with more light, or a room, etc.? Finally, I must boldly agree our breakfasts are AWESOME, I know I'm a bit biased, but I think most of our guests would agree with the both of us! :)
