Clean rooms and meeting area. Beautifully landscaped. Kid friendly. Very quiet. Great variety and tasting food to accommodate all dietary concerns. Most importantly, warm friendly people! Owners are outstanding! So warm and accommodating.

My wife and I stayed at the Cornell Inn May 15 - 18. It is a beautiful property owned and managed by Tim and his wife Nell, who are wonderful hosts. Our room was "Teddy", on the second floor of the carriage house. It was private and cozy, with a little back deck with steps leading down to a small grassy area where we could take out our small dog. I have to agree with the other reviewers that the breakfast is exceptional. My wife raved about the banana pancakes, and the French toast is outstanding. The property is easy to find, and abuts a large wooded park where we could walk our dog. It is also within walking distance to the dining and other attractions in Lenox. All and all this is a great choice for a B&B in the Berkshires. Tim and Nell will treat you very well.

Room Tip: We were traveling with a pet, and I think the building we were in was the "pet quarters"...

Thank you for taking the time to review our B&B. I'm glad you had an enjoyable time in Lenox and at our Inn. Yes, our chefs prepare some amazing meals, we are very fortunate to have them as part of our team. Kennedy Park is an amazing place for humans and canines, we are so fortune it is just a few steps away from the Inn.. I think it is great that our guests can choose to take a stroll to town or a hike for miles within the trees all a few feet from our Inn. We hope to see you again for another visit!

Best Wishes-
Nell

Stayed here for a long weekend and leading up to the trip, Tim and Nell were both very helpful in planning day trips and meals prior to even booking with them. At arrival, we were greeted kindly by Nell and were almost given the wrong room due to another guest having the same last name as myself which was fixed immediately. Breakfast was great with quite the selection of baked goods, eggs, french toast, and sausage with fresh coffee and fruit. Our room was very comfortable and good in size, as was the bed. Plenty of places to visit and shop and eat very close nearby as well. We had a great trip and a large part of that was where we stayed!

Room Tip: stayed in Martha and was very sizeable and not as close to the road as other rooms were which was ni...

Hi! I'm so glad you had an enjoyable time with us and during your stay in the Berkshires. What was the likelihood, that two guests would arrive at nearly the same time with the same last name?? AAAH, anyhow, thanks for being so patient as I switched you to the correct room.
Lenox is a great little town for noshing, shopping, a bit of hiking, and relaxation. We hope you come back for another visit!

Best Wishes
Nell

From the moment we arrived we knew we were staying at a place that was warm and welcoming. The inn takes you back in time in décor but has the amenities you expect travelling today. The room was good size and very comfortable. The breakfast was exceptional with a good variety including incredible almond French toast and homemade muffins. While we came in mid April I could imagine how beautiful it must be once all is in bloom. It is well located and accessible to many of the area's attractions. We will definite return and spend more time with Tim & Nell.

Charming Inn with 25 or so rooms nestled into hillside on one of main roads coming into Lenox. Beautiful outdoor deck for breakfast dining. The food was outstanding including blackberry muffins and amazing French Toast. Also dog friendly.

Thank you Tim, for a fantastic stay at your beautiful Inn. The Inn is just beautiful, decorated nicely. The food was delicious and the service the was great. Loved having the bar area to sit and relax and not having to go anywhere since it was raining. Our room was great, the Dolly, loved it... Tim was great company and very knowledgeable about the history of the Inn and the town. Cant wait to go back again...This one is a keeper...

N42°21.942' W73°16.913' The day after the Tanglewood music festival, we arrived in September 2013 at The Cornell Inn. It was winding down from intense busy days and, hopefully for us, from abnormal expensive rates. Yes, hopefully, because Lenox is a pricey town with expensive B&B’s oozing luxury, oversized Jacuzzis, marble bathrooms and wine and cheese in the evening. Most of them are only open during the holiday season. Our only affordable alternative was the motel along Veterans Memorial Highway, so when we saw the sign vacancies, we asked for an off-season bargain and the friendly owner/manager agreed.

The Cornell Inn is spread across three historic houses. It’s no gilded mansion, but the rooms are cosy with the expected amenities and friendly staff. We talked with the owner/manager for more than an hour about the houses, the festival and the bordering Kennedy Park. In the afternoon we hiked the park, walking up Aspinwall Road. It’s well suited for hikers and guests itching for a morning jog before breakfast.

The Barbara room, named after former first lady Barbara Bush, has a romantic interior and a nice bed. We slept very well with the window open, avoiding the noise from the window air conditioner. Noise from Main Street is limited. Breakfast buffet changed every day and was abundant. Meanwhile we had nice conversations with the other guests. Wi-Fi-reception is good.

The Cornell Inn offers good value in a pricey town. Recommended.

Wow, thanks so much for taking the time to review our B&B after returning back home to the Netherlands. I hope all is well in Europe. Lenox, is a wonderful place, but as you said, during the summer it is a bit intimidating when it comes to finding a comfortable place to hang your hat and while not breaking the bank. Even in the summer, we try to stay about middle of the road pricewise and are one of the few B&B's in town that only have a 2 day minimum on the week-end vs. a three day requirement. As much as I enjoy the hoopla of the summer season, it is nice to have more quality with our guests, family and friends as we change season. Lenox, is fabulous in the summer, but truly is a hidden gem in the off season, where better rates are to be found and less wait time when it comes to visiting museums or one of the many fine restaurants in the area. If you ever come back to the US, we hope you'll come for another visit!

Dank u wel
