“SIMPLY SUBLIME”
Reviewed June 26, 2013

The food, service, ambiance, staff, wine list and setting are all truly divine. Yes it is expensive, but it is not significantly more than many other much more inferior restaurants in the area. I love having lunch in the library. We usually save dinner for special occasions.

“5 star”
Reviewed June 25, 2013

Beautiful Inn, in the heart of the Berkshires.
Great food and probably would receive 6 stars if there was that rating.
You can walk to Tanglewood or just sit out and enjoy a view that is spellbinding.
It resembles an Inn we saw in western Ireland.
This one was built by an Italian businessman and he paid attention to detail.

“Be prepared to pay for the very best”
Reviewed May 28, 2013

As part of my overnight stay I was able to enjoy a delicious lunch, an amazing dinner and an excellent breakfast at this five diamond restaurant. While the food and cost was consistent with my expectations, the service was somewhat less than on point. My lunch server was a delightful young lady from South Korea who had been there for one year and was able to direct some of the new help who made some inexperienced moves. However, everyone was eager to please and left me with a very positive impression.

If only they would replace the large glass pane in the dinning room window where the seal failed. This was a distraction at lunch and breakfast while in the Dining Room
.
For dinner, the Spring Salad gets an "A", the Pasta Rings a "B" while the Lamb Saddle rates at "A+"

I was also pleased that the prices were inclusive of service changes which made the $125 four course dinner easy to understand. Even breakfast which totaled more than $40 seemed reasonable when compared to $45-$50 for the same selection at a Ritz hotel.

“A wonderful experience!”
Reviewed January 29, 2013

Seldom does the food, ambience and service all deserve to be called exemplary, but it is justly deserved when describing our dining experience at Wheatleigh. From the welcome greeting to our table departure, all was wonderful. Price is extremely reasonable for this valued dining experience. No surprises, however, as the accommodations and service during our stay was equally as wonderful.

“A very special place for lunch”
Reviewed December 22, 2012 via mobile

My son surprised me with lunch at The Wheatleigh. He had heard about it from a work colleague. Just walking up to the entrance was amazing. A beautiful setting for an equally grand building. He made reservations for us in the library. There were just a few other couples having lunch so it was rather quiet. We could hear French music playing which was perfect for the setting. Lunch was scallops and lobster in a lemon, caper butter sauce. My son had the duck sausage and venison steak. Everything was superb, perfect portions for lunch. This is not a place we'd visit often, just for special occasions.
