“Nice outdoor seating”
Reviewed July 16, 2014

This restaurant has been in business for awhile now. Not like a lot of restaurants in the area that only last a few years. They have a nice partly covered deck area which is wonderful to enjoy lunch or dinner on. The service was pretty good. We did have to wait a little while for our meals but we had good conversation to keep us busy. Our party had a mix of burgers, flatbreads and salads and all were very tasty. The menu is good, not huge, but everyone can find something they like on it. We were there for lunch so I am not sure what their dinner menu is like, but I am sure its wonderful since the place is always busy.

“Great dining experience in the Berkshires”
Reviewed July 14, 2014

While on our yearly visit to Tanglewood and the Berkshires we ate dinner at Church Street Café and it was one of the best meals we've had in a restaurant. Great atmosphere, excellent care from the wait staff and a delicious meal all made for a great dining experience. My wife and I both had the Pot Roasted Misty Knoll Farm Chicken Statler. It was incredibly good. We will certainly return next year.

“Excellent year after year”
Reviewed July 13, 2014

My wife and I had dinner at Church Street Café once again this year. It's become one of our favorite spots when visiting Tanglewood. We started with a Caesar Salad, gluten free (without croutons) and it was excellent, including the requisite anchovies and freshly grated parmesan.

My pork chop was done perfectly, and my wife's salmon was also excellent. Wine by the glass is available; the Malbec is very good. And our server, Luke was excellent as well. We dined on the covered deck, which is very nice in good weather. (We have eaten inside too, which is quite nice.) Mosquitoes everywhere this year, so you might want to wear bug repellent instead of cologne.

A great meal; we will be back.

“Excellent Accident”
Reviewed July 7, 2014

Had reservation at the Cork and Hearth, but a power outage prevented them from opening for dinner. We went into Lenox hoping to find a restaurant that had seating availability, and stumbled on Church Street Cafe. Great dinner. They do make very, very strong drinks. Fortunately, our B&B was walking (stumbling) distance.

“Pleasant lunch”
Reviewed July 7, 2014

Sister restaurant of Alta just up the street. The service was almost as good. The food was tasty with a mediteranean bent. Enjoyable and almost great. The lamb curry dish lacked imangination (light on the curry) but was quite good. If you were to eat in Lenox, this is a fine choice.
