Very welcoming, loved the elegant 100 year old building, this Inn is perfectly placed for Lenox and the surrounding area. Innkeepers Michele and Eiran were the perfect hosts and the food was outstanding. (we should have asked for the recipe for their granola, best ever:) P& P

We spend a night in a B & B or Inn in the Berkshires every year for our anniversary. We know have our new favorite! Wonderful hosts. Beautiful rooms. Fantastic breakfast. Great bar (especially if you are into Bourbon like me ..... And it is even better if you are enjoy a nice Scotch ..... There is a book to choose from). We also ate dinner in the dining room and it was superb.

A wonderful experience all around. We will be back!

My wife Angela and I were married this past weekend at the Gateways Inn. The experience was exactly what we were looking for and exceeded all of our expectations. Michele and Eiran (The Inn Keepers) are the most gracious of hosts and do all that they can to make sure your experience with them is a positive one. This was apparent with the conversations Angela had with Eiran in the planning of our day prior to our arrival, to the moment we walked in the door, to the special attention they paid to our two sons ( Dominic - 19 months & Luca 5 months) and throughout our entire stay with them. We never felt like just another "customer at a hotel" but really felt like a guest of Michele & Eiran's in their beautiful Inn.

The Inn: It is a 100+ year old mansion that is impeccably maintained. It houses a lovely lounge set up for congregating during the day and relaxing to great live music in the evening over a drink and small plate menu. (The music is set at a very mellow and easy listening tone and is not disruptive to those in their rooms in the evening and does not run very late) There is a very attractive full service bar leading into the immaculate dining room where both dinner and breakfast are served.

The Room: The rooms are beatiful and have classic, elegant furnishings that are true to the historical look of the building and the town of Lenox that surrounds it. All of the rooms have a different name and a book within the room explains it's meaning and previous use. We stayed in the "Miranda" Suite. A very large gorgeous multi room suite consisting of a living room, bedroom, kitchenette, makeup vanity & bathroom complete with jacuzzi tub. I can not stress enough that this room was absolutely stunning. Hard wood floors, amazing furniture, beautiful linens and lovely little homemade touches such as a teddy bear for our boys, Lindt chocolates in the fridge and candy dishes throughout the room.

The Food: Delicious. For us the menu is absolutely perfect. In the morning they do not serve your traditional scrammbled eggs with breakfast meat or continental breakfast you receive at most hotels/Inns. To be upfront I was skeptical about whether I would be satisfied without your standard breakfast as I am a particularly big meat eater. My skepticism was short lived as breakfast was outstanding. Michele takes great care in the food that is served to her guests and this is received well by us as we are extremely particular of what our sons eat.. At breakfast we had the freshest assortment of fruit, homemade granola with honey vanilla yogurt, assorted bread, cheeses, jams & jellies along with multiple homemade pastries that I had wished Angela had asked for the recipe to before we left. Even the orange juice was freshly squeezed. Dinner was even better. You can order from the small plate menu or the full dinner menu and the food is seasoned and cooked to perfection. We had salads ( Angela wants to make sure I mention that the beet salad was particularly amazing) steak, fish, pasta & chicken throughout our two evenings all of which was stunning and cooked perfectly. Everything is seasoned well and you can see and taste the care put into the meals. We felt like the price for dinner combined with the atmosphere, service and location were all relative and well worth it.

Our Wedding: We just wanted a small intimate ceremony with just us and our two sons. We didn't want to have to arrange anything or make plans or have any of the stresses that go into planning or being in a wedding. Eiran was happy to take on all of this for us and extracted exactly what we were looking for with just a few brief conversations with Angela. He was happy to accomodate us even going as far as to pick out the flowers Angela would carry and that I would wear. He arranged the Justice of the Peace for us and Michele delivered us a beautiful and delicious wedding cake later that evening. It was quiet, intimate and all about us and our family. We loved it.

Michele & Eiran - They are a lovely couple with an obvious passion for what they do. They take great pride in their Inn as they should. It is clearly the nicest in the area and truly the nicest we have stayed in. They are warm and inviting and really do all they can to make you feel at home. They were particularly accomodating when it came to our children. It was important for us to have them be part of our wedding and really just be able to spend the weekend with them. We had concerns with how elegant the Inn was that it may not be suitable for children. It was important for us also to not impose on someone elses stay if the Inn was not accustomed to young children. Eiran and Michele assured us that our children were more than welcome and that they would be of no imposition. We coordinated our dinner schedule earlier than usual to try and avoid any disruption in the dining room and although they told us multiple times that we could eat at anytime and not to worry we still felt it best to be in and out before the dining room filled up and again they were glad to do it for us.

I can't say enough about what a great experience we had. You will not find a nicer place to stay set in a more beautiful area. We will be back again next year for our anniversary and perhaps even sooner.

This is our 5th visit to the lovely Gateways Inn, having new owners since our last visit, did not disappoint Us. Michelle and Eiran are experienced Inn owners and have thought of all the pleasures for a home away from home. The staff first of all is pleasant, knowledgeable and hospitable. Love the pretty and friendly bartender, to the owners handsome personable son in the dining room. The dinner was excellent, and has an extended gluten-free menu, as well as a Vegan menu. Our family who lives nearby in Lenox and Lee joined Us for dinner and was pleasantly surprised to the change in the menu, and stated they would return. The Inn is an excellent choice for many visits to the wonderful Berkshires. Thank you again for a lovely visit to our home away from Home.

My husband Eric and I were married this month at the Gateways Inn and could not have been more pleased with our experience. We wanted an intimate ceremony with just a few friends and family, and the Gateways Inn turned out to be just what we were looking for. This quaint historic mansion is adorable; the rooms are impeccable, the food is the best around and the location is perfect...Lenox is beautiful and there's just no place like the Berkshires. The Innkeepers Michele and Eiran treat their guests like family and go out of their way to make you feel at home, and we were no exception. Every detail was handled with care and our wedding day could not have been better. My out of town guests are still talking about it and encouraging everyone they know to take a trip to Massachusetts to visit the Gateways Inn. Note: you cannot miss Michele's breakfasts! My husband and I can't wait to return for our anniversary if not sooner. Thank you Michele and Eiran!
