We'll be heading back to Alta because the majority of the dishes there have been very good, and the service and atmosphere are excellent.
On our last stop we had the gazpacho ($6) which was slightly chunky (I prefer that to strained), fresh and flavorful.
The Pork Tenderloins ($24) were excellent. They were served with a very interesting Dijon mustard whipped cream that blended perfectly with the pork. A very light and airy taste of spicy mustard.
The downside was the Diver Scallops ($27) that were almost tasteless. None of the sweet fresh scallop taste you'd expect from a good dish. I also thought $27 was overpriced for 4 medium sized scallops. The accompanying vegetables were lightly sauteed and excellent.
They have an excellent wine selection at fair prices.
We've eaten here before and all dishes were really good, so I'd recommend a visit and just stay away from the scallops.
