We strolled into Bombay after checking into the hotel it is within. We immediately are greeted by Kara - blonde, beautiful and full of sunshine. We knew we were going to have a nice few hours. We ordered drinks, and weren't sure what to try.

Kara suggested a favorite of hers, but then they offered to make us something special to try. I believe it was Manoj that made a great dish of flavorful chicken. Yum.

But we were still hungry, and went with Kara's suggestion - chicken cashew something, with rice and the thin bread. OMG. Mouthwatering, flavorful, just delectable. The atmosphere was friendly and warm. We loved the music and the chatter. They were welcoming at the bar. Sean - a manager perhaps, was attentive and helpful keeping the flow around us, yet warm and friendly.

We will be back. It was like an evening out with friends.

We're spending our 10th summer in the Berkshires and always make it a point to have Indian food at Bombay Bar & Grill. Initially recommended to us as "the best Indian food in the Berkshires" and "rivals any Indian food that you could get in the city", we have never been disappointed! The food is excellent and the ambiance is inviting. There are lakeview windows looking out over Laurel Lake, a pretty little New England lake over which we've enjoyed the sunsets. The dining room is quiet enough for good conversation and the eclectic clientele always seems to be engaging in such!

This is one of the few Indian restaurants in the Berkshires that regularly and reliably prepares a broad range of Indian dishes from different regions and does so extremely well. Tandoori dishes are always moist - perfectly prepared. The menu also has dishes on the menu that we don't commonly see in other Indian restaurants and all are prepared well. We find this to be on a par with many first-rate Indian restaurants in New York City and Washington, DC.

We remembered a very good restaurant as we approached Lee MA from the north and hoped that is was still worth it. We had a party of five with a range of tolerance for spice. All agreed that this was an outstanding example of Indian food. Three had traveled in India.
