“Nice little place, good and affordable food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 16, 2012

back to CT from MA we stopped at Friendlys in Lee. The staff was courteous, the place was clean, the food was very good and affordable. Of course, the ice cream is delicious. We had a great dinner and relaxing time there to continue our drive. I recommend this place to stop, eat, and go your merry way.

“Manager on duty lacks many manager quality's”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 21, 2012

Myself and a date were talking about how our parents used to take us to friendlys as children to keep the memories alive we decided to get some ice cream and continue our talk. As soon as we walked into the store I right away picked the manager out due to the fact he's a large man an like 6 5 maybe taller. We get our seat and look at the menu he asked if we were ready to order, when told we needed a minute thanks he coped an attitude and walked away. We got our ice cream and did our thing and the manager Jeff I think it was who clearly hates his life and smells like a tavern gave us the check and we left I will never go to friendlys again

“Reliable and inexpensive”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 31, 2011

I have always liked Friendly's English muffins because they are grilled in butter and with a lot of butter served on top.
Their coffee is reliably good. The cups with the coffee mug designs are a nice upgrade. The waitress was pleasant. My husband and I both got good food at a reasonable price.

“Come for the ice cream but avoid the food”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 3, 2011

This Friendly's is located on Route 20 near Lee's downtown Main St. It looks like it's an older restaurant, as if it may be one of the originals. The seating is claustrophobic as the kitchen has been set up in the middle of the dining area and is sectioned off with cubicle like dividers. We decided to sit at the counter which was great since the waitstaff and manager are exceptionally delightful, funny and personable. A warm group cracking jokes with us and helping us out with maps and directions. Lovely!
We were disappointed by the Loaded Waffle Fries and a Turkey Club SuperMelt which we shared. The fries seemed old and the melted cheese was off as was the sauce on our sandwich. We decided not to finish our meal and moved onto a Sundae as we were still hungry. The ice cream creation was good, just as they usually are at this chain restaurant and held it us over for the evening.
Unfortunately we both had stomach issues that night from what I am sure was our sandwich and fries. We have eaten at this chain on numerous occasions and have never gotten ill before. Beware fellow customers.

“Didn't expect much, but was disappointed”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 4, 2011

Finding an affordable, family-friendly place to eat on a summer Sunday evening in this area is no easy feat. We tried several places, but they all had 1/2 hour waits which wasn't appealing with a toddler in tow. So, we settled for Friendly's. We visit our local branch on occasion, so knew what to expect. However, the place was dirty, the summer hire teenaged waitstaff were checked out, and the food was poor (tasteless fries, greasy vegetables, etc). Never again.
