On our way to camp at Mt. Greylock, we needed a quick lunch stop. Lee, MA has a wonderful old-time center and we couldn't help but stop. We parked and walked up and down Main St. and decided to try Otto's for lunch. We were glad we did. The place was quite busy and we decided to sit at the bar. Both of us got a wrap and were thrilled with the freshness, taste and the serving size. It certainly would have fed us twice. The chips were absolutely delicious! Service was friendly and quick. Would definitely stop here again.

We were looking forward to breakfast again at this local restaurant in the Berkshires, having had a good experience there last year (2013). This year, however, was , frankly, aweful. I hate to slam the local guy, but the place is simply not geared to, or experienced enough' to handle the large volume traffic that they should expect in the summer in locations close to Tanglewood and Shakespeare and Co. The service was very poor--waitress had to be prompted several times for coffee refills, and when she did finally bring the pot over it was almost empty, whereupon she actually asked if we we wanted the dregs or should she make another pot! (we said we'd wait for the new pot, but then it turned out that in fact had another pot of the regular roast available anyway, uh, it was painful). The eggs Benny had sat under the warming light while the waitress had a chat with friends and by the time we got them they were pretty much gelled and the English muffin was soggy. There was so much wrong, there was no point in sending anything back--I actually could not eat the breakfast (a first for this erstwhile Brit!). Wife was ticked off that I tipped the customary 20%, but what can you do when it's all so bad--it isn't just the waitress's fault. Alas, the place seems to be thriving and I noticed later that they had recently opened another place in Pittsfield (didn't try that one, so can't judge). Anyway, Otto's in Lee, Ma. Seems to be popular with some of the local crowd, so if it's local flavor you want try Otto's, but if you want edible food and attentive service, try some place else, for example...well, there's another place nearby that is really good and if I mention it everybody will start going there and maybe ruin it also, so you'll have to find it for yourself!

Stopped for lunch while passing thru town with my wife. We arrived before the crowd. Soon there was a mix of tourists, locals and more local workers picking up food to back to the office or shop.

With 10 tables or so and two waitresses I was impressed at how slow the service was. The waitresses seemed inefficient and a bit careless.

I don't want to judge based on one visit but I also think once was enough.

Our sandwiches were fine but ordering, getting our food and paying the bill took way too long.

We love eating in local low-key breakfast joints rather than any place fancy and this fit the bill to a tee. The breakfast was yummy and the portions were large. Things that could be basic like toast and sausage were not - fresh thick grainy slices of bread and large meaty sausage split open and browned. Great value!!!

We needed a nearby place to have breakfast and Otto's was perfect. They have a wide variety of breakfast foods with reasonable prices. They were open early even on Sunday.
