“Great Breakfast Place”
Reviewed July 17, 2012 via mobile

I am always leery about restaurants in areas with lots of tourists since so many owners will scrimp on quality when they know that there will always be new faces to disappoint. However, Bob's is a winner. We were here for breakfast on Sunday morning. The place had about half its 60ish seats full and we were quickly seated by a friendly hostess. Orur waitress came by quickly and was attentive throughout the meal. I had the eggs Benedict and my wife had ham and eggs and both meals were excellent. The poached eggs on the Benedict we're cooked perfectly and the hash browns, for which we paid extra, were hot and tasty. One thing that I particularly liked is that, every few minutes, one of the wait staff would come through the dining room with coffee and stop at every table so we did not have to try to get our waitress's attention. The service was quick and we got our meals in about ten minutes. The rest of the menu looked interesting with daily specials so we will have to try it out again later in the day. This is a good place and not too far from Jiminy Peak, maybe ten minutes drive.

“Favorite Restaurant EVER”
Reviewed July 14, 2012

We were staying in Hancock, Mass. for a week, and went to Bob's four times ! Once we found this place, we just kept coming back. The best place for food anywhere. Everything was delicious, and very family oriented. Just what you would expect from a local eatery. Great prices and a good selection. All I can tell you is, I ordered pancakes and they were so hot when I got them I could have burned my mouth on them. That just never happens when you get pancakes out ! There was three of us, and over the week we were there for all three meals and not one of us had any complaints. The service and the food were wonderful !!!

“Tourist trap. Stay away”
Reviewed June 21, 2012

What a dissapointment. We ordered the pork special of the day. The waitress informed us that it was gone but they were upping to the fisherman's platter. So, we went with the fisherman's platter thinking that it was being substituted for the pork loin. uh -uh. when she came with check we were charged the menu price of $14.95 for the fisherman's platter. The pork loin platter was only $9.95. When we asked the waitress she said that everything on the menu was a special.
It would have been ok had the dinner been good but teverything was greasy. It tasted like they hadn't cleaned the fry-o-later in months. The so-called scallops were mostly breading. Done't waster your time here.

“Great Down Home Restaurant”
Reviewed April 5, 2012

Wide selection, breakfast all day, fresh food, great waitresses. If you want fancy go elsewhere. If you want down home food, Bob's is the place. Usually always crowded on weekends so go early or later to miss the crowds.
