“A real gem on the South Shore....”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 1, 2014

A cozy, pleasing ambience, superb food and helpful wait staff make for an altogether pleasant experience. We have dined here three times now and the meals were above average each time from appetizer (the tuna tacos and the egg rolls are amazing!) to desert. The fish dish I ordered was exceptional in both taste and presentation. We took friends with us on our last visit and they were as happy as we were with the choice. When you can't get to Boston and want a fine dinning experience this is the place to go on the South Shore. We expect to return often!

“From 2013 to 2014”

Cheer to flow from one year to the next. Solstice restaurant was an excellent choice to meet. Although we ordered only after dinner drinks and egg rolls, which were perfect, we enjoyed the spirit and flavour of the place. Cozy, friendly, intimate all qualities that countered the cold wind and rain outside. This local is well known to Kingston residents as the "old train station." It's a fixture in Kingston that belongs to all of us Kingstonians. We welcome any people of "good will."

“Good Dining in Kingston”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 10, 2013

We had never been to Solstice before. We passed by it recently and we agreed that it looked like our kind of place. We decided to try it on our next date night. We were impressed with the ambiance. The service was superb and the food was of good quality and very well prepared. I had the tuna It was prepared just right - very tender. The shirmp fried rice and spring rolls made for a surprising variety of tastes and textures. My wife had scallops and she said that they were sweet, tender and, like my tuna, prepared just right. This one's a keeper. We don't usually review a place unless it's exceptionally good or exceptionally bad. This one is the former, without doubt.

“Great South Shore Restaurant !”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 27, 2013

Really nice renovation of the former Kingston railroad station! Relaxing ambiance with really great nicely presented food. The service was top notch and the staff was pleasant and fully attentive. We would highly recommend the "chicken under a brick" and the scallops. The desert menu was equally unique with numerous tough choices all prepared in the kitchen. We will definitely return to Solstice for special out to dinners.

“Quite Nice”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 23, 2013 via mobile

First time back in quite some time. Just as good as ever. Service good (Nate, our server was very good, attentive and a good sense of humor - a necessity with us). My tuna was very good, but do agree with a prior review that its rice accompaniment was too salty. Our friends had a delicious seafood appetizer that easily could have been an entrée.
The restaurant was packed on a Friday evening, make reservations! Love the atmosphere and décor. We'll be back!
