a very clean beach, wel maintained.the water is also very clear. the sand is very soft. they have good facilities there like changing rooms, shower, restrooms, water and snacks for purchase. since the beach is near sandy dunes, they have put carpet to walk to the beach and also stairs( to avoid walking in hot sand). they do charge 25$ parking and entrance fee,but i guess its worth it. the water is clean and very clear and goes on a striaght level and doesnt steep out directly. not much waves. some water pools also form in some parts on sand making it a nice place for the kids to play safely. the water is cold for july but you feel good after being in it for some time. the best part is looking for crabs, water snails, oysters and some shells while in the water as it is very clean and you can look down to ur feet. make sure to visit the crane inn near beach. we cudnt go behind it where there are nice views as it was closed for wedding. overall a nice family beach.

Beach was pretty, but there isn't much of it. When the tide started to come up everyone was sitting on top of eachother. The other problem is the greenhead flies....they were everywhere!! It just really isn't that enjoyable to get bitten every couple of minutes.

I enjoyed the beach it wasn't cramped. The green flies were out but if you bought skin so soft at the counter for ten dollars and put that on the flies will leave you alone for about two hours.

One of the nicest beaches on the north shore. Expensive to park but it seems that the money is being put to good use - the beach, shower area and bathrooms are sufficiently clean. They even have changing booths! Beach does get crowded over weekends but it is never hard to find a decent spot. For out of state people, please note that the water is generally twenty degrees lower than the air temperature, but you get to walk/wade far out and the waves are mild. A word of caution about the flies - they are persistent and come with a nasty sting. Carry a bug spray.
