I agree with prusue and FlyJetsUSA's reviews. We stayed one night and that was more than enough. We didn't find Bill rude, though. He was pleasant and it was obvious that he loves his inn and the area. His car collection is awesome.

We booked a four night stay at this B&B after reading many reviews and seeing pretty much 9 out of 10 reviews were favorable. We probably should have known that if the innkeeper was offering $60 off per night, there just might be something not quiet right. We stayed in the FISH room. To be fair to Bill, the innkeeper (of sorts, as he says), the sheets did not smell funny. The towels were fine. Breakfast was good with blueberry pancakes being the best. However, the following are very true: there are two TVs but they do not work, the room had an old ceiling leak and did leak during a heavy rain, the mattress on one of the twin beds sloped to the left badly.
There are dozens of "decorative" items in the room, leaving little space for anything. There are NO locks on the doors; there was a bolt lock on the back door leading to the rotted porch. We did not leave our dog in the room because of the lack of locks on the entry doors. Someone did walk around between 10:30 and 11:00 pm. Footsteps can be heard clearly on the gravel sidewalk, AND the motion detectors go off with bright lights into the room. Bill does charge $10 per day for A/C, separate from any rate you may pay. We left after two nights because we just couldn't take it any longer. We would leave for the day and HATE returning. The rate is extremely high for the condition of this place. Bill is a very nice man but clearly thinks everything is just dandy there. We did not approach him for any return of our money since we had read how badly he reacts to anything negative. We understand some people may actually enjoy staying there, but it's very hard for us to understand how. The structure needs repair badly and could be a huge risk of liability.

Room Tip: There is no help for this B&B until the owner realizes he needs to make major repairs.

I have traveled all over the world - have stayed in some interesting places, yet this B & B is one of the worst anywhere. Dirty rooms, Outdated bathrooms, dirty linens, uncomfortable beds and pillows, awful breakfast, wine in coffee mugs, a rude, single owner man with one of the largest Scotch collections in the US (hello) who lives with 20+ mangy, long haired cats. If you like the way this sounds - go ahead and waste your money, if not, you would be so much better off at a Comfort or Holiday Inn and at least hopefully experience greater standards of cleanliness, comfort and security + you will save some money too. I would not stay at this B & B again even if the room was free.

We had a wonderful time in Cape Cod on August 6th through August 9th, 2012, thanks in large part to Bill’s wonderful B&B and to his suggestions about fun activities. We followed his advice to a ‘T’, as generally it takes us several days to get our bearings. We did not waste a single moment of precious vacation time in Hyannis, Hyannisport, and surrounds. The B&B is close to everything, i.e., excellent beaches, fine dining, entertainment, shopping, etc. It has every amenity imaginable including a full breakfast, a wine hour at 5:30 pm, and an automobile museum with over 50 antique cars. It was a pleasure to wake up every day and take in the relaxing picturesque views. We will be recommending the B&B in the future to friends and family members.
