I have enjoyed the music from the Cape Cod Symphony for several years now and I have never been disappointed. Each summer we attend an outdoor concert and every winter we enjoy their holiday events. The conductor is entertaining and the music is truly a wonderful experience. I highly recommend.

If you like the Boston Symphony and the Boston Pops you will love the Cape Cod Symphony. They preform all types of music from classic to pop. Their Christmas show is better than Boston and the New Year's Day show is like being in Vienna. Give it a try next season. Do it early as most shows are sold out performances.

I don't consider myself having a great understanding of music but I've always enjoyed great perfomances that Ive been lucky enough to attend as I've traveled extensively thoughout United States and Europe.
A number of years ago I was asked to attend a Cape Symphony performance at the relatively new Barnstable Performance Center (part of the High School) and have been an avid ticket holder ever since.
First the hall's acoustics are actually better than Boston Symphony or Carnegie Hall, the seating is comfortable, parking is free, ample and easy and there is a refreshment court which also serves as a "meet and greet" for the guest artists. It should also be noted that a free lecture is given before each performance as to the highlights of the presentation(usually with the Maestro in attendance). The best seats average $60 but there is cheaper seating and entire season tickets available.
Secondly and most important, every performance has brought my wife and myself such sheer joy listening to the mastery of the Orchestra,Jung Ho Pak and his guest artists. Rachmaninoff Piano and Orchestra concertos,Violin, Cello (Yo Yo Ma once!) and seasonal choral works are all absolutely profound and thrilling.
As I've aged there are very few events that I've anticipated more.

Always an orchestra with great talent, it is even more exciting since our young conductor assumed the podium. Most performances (at the very nice new Barnstable High School auditorium) are sold out.

I'm always pleasantly pleased with concerts by Cape Cod Symphony Orchestra. The orchestra's conductor, Hung Jo Pak, is outstanding in his presentations and brings out the best in all his musicians. The content of his concerts are very well put-together and masterfully conducted.
