“Nice pub style dinner”
Reviewed May 29, 2014

We like pub food and the British Beer Company is a pretty good approximation of a British pub. They have lots of beers on tap from all over the world and a variety of foods, including American fare, British pub grub and pizza. We both had Guinness and some British food. Service was good and it is a happening place. When you're on the Cape and want a pint of beer or a break from seafood, this is a great place to go.

“Poor attempt at good food”
Reviewed May 28, 2014

We just got here late last night. Drive around until we noticed this place. We were seated right away, very friendly staff. I ordered the chowder, poor attempt for a New England Classic. No clams, no taste and as thin as thin as water. My dinner was no better. Blackened chicken over pasta with a cream sauce. Barely any chicken, thinned down sauce. My girlfriend ordered the lettuce wrap...no sauce/dressing and dried out carrots. The best part of the meal was the Green Flash IPA and the quick time we were served. I was more than ready to leave.

Save your money..there is much better in Hyannis.

“Basic but good”
Reviewed May 20, 2014 via mobile

The menu is basic pub fare with a few British items thrown in. Our server was very pleasant and efficient. The food was good but not great. I had fish and chips. I liked that it was haddock instead of cod. Just a personal preference. The fish itself was very good but the batter was very heavy and somewhat greasy so did not eat much of the batter. French fries were fresh and very good as was the coleslaw.
My husband had the bourbon steak tips. They were cooked exactly as ordered and were tasty and tender. He enjoyed them and also the mashed potatoes.
The prices are very reasonable especially compared to other neighboring restaurants.

“Acceptable Fare, Lousy Service”
Reviewed May 17, 2014 via mobile

Dinner for two on a week day pre Memorial Day evening. The fare, fish and chips and a burger with onion rings, was acceptable. The food here is generally predictable, not fantastic yet not terrible. Nice selection of beer on tap. Mixed drinks seem heavy on the mix and light on the alcohol. The service left a bit to be desired with long waits between drinks, orders, delivery, check and payment. Better get their act in order with Memorial Day and the summer crowds in the wings.
