We had a good experience here. So we got in to Hyannis a bit late. Followed the GPS, we were afraid it was hard to find parking. So we were happy to find this place had easy parking. +1 for that. Then we walk up and wanted to sit in the restaurant. She said we couldn't sit inside because it is a bar - +21 only. -1 for that because we had our kids. But she then said quickly, we could sit outside on picnic tables. It was on a dock on the harbor and it was just a very good option that day. +2 for that. If it was raining, it would have been a disaster, but for that night, it was awesomely good. The food. My daughter is allergic to shellfish - so we were happy she liked her fish and chips. My son also enjoyed the same thing. We enjoyed our fried clams and lobster roll which had a lot of lobster meat from 1 lobster. +2 for the food. Yes it was pricey, but we kind of expected that. So +0 for cost. Overall, it works out to 4 out of 5 in my books. We were pretty happy with the place.

It's the location and the historical value of who used to (Kennedy et al) frequent the establishment. The menu is very limited, the bar is well stocked. We stopped in for a late lunch on a day when we didn't feel like moving far out of town. Prices are steep for what is offered, and you can definitely get better elsewhere. Parking is free and available. It was not at all crowded, but wait service was slow if not neglectful. We had 2 lbs of steamers and the fried calamari. The steamers were ok, but 1/3 the shells were empty. The calamari was not crisp and a rather chintzy portion. It is located directly on the harbor., so you can sit and watch the activity on the water.

Similar seafood menu as the other restaurants. Prices, quality and service all comparable. Short drive or or long walk from the Hyannis Holiday Hotel.

I would give Baxter's one more star if they offerred more choices and had a raw bar license. The drinks are weak but the view is nice so everything is tolerable. Parking is no problem since they have a lot separate from the masses on the marina. The grilled and fried seafood choices are decent but you can do just as well elsewhere. Overall just an average spot.

Fish and Chips, Beer and very flaky fresh Haddock. I love Baxter's and visit every year. The prices are good value and you can't beat the harbor atmosphere. Would return each time in Mass.
