“Perfect place for the Perfect celebration”

Our party of 4 were trying the Roadhouse cafe for the first time. The dining room has a
warm atmosphere. The food was very good. Lighting was really dim and hard to read the menu. Service was prompt and cordial. Pricing is comparable to other restaurants in area. A definite place for a special occasion. Good selection of food.

“Food and service excellent”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 2, 2009

We had dinner as a group for an anniversary party on aug 19. Food was great and somewhat uniquely prepared. No one had a problem with the meals. We also had desserts and appetizers to share. Waitress was very good and knowledgeable about menu choices. The down side is that it is very busy and the tables are very close together so you can see and hear everything that is going on at all the tables around you. It makes conversation difficult. They al;so serve the local Cape Cod beer there which is an attraction for tourists. It was very good.

“Our waiter made our anniversay meal very special!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 21, 2009

My wife and I were in Hyannis for our anniversay this year and we had dinner at the Roadhouse Restaurant. The food was great, the house wine was very good, but the best part of all was our waiter. He went out of his way to make sure we enjoyed this special evening (the owner of the Seacoast Inn where we were staying had made our reservations for us and must have mentioned it was our anniversary). Charley did an outstanding job, it was as though we had been knowing him forever. Thanks Charley!

“Not a Must Try”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 15, 2009

Three of us dined at the Roadhouse on July 9th. We're no strangers to the Cape as we spend portions of each summer there but it has been awhile since we ate at the Roadhouse. Two of the entrees were seafood dishes and they were perfectly OK but probably not at the prices charged. One of us ordered an expensive bone-in sirloin steak. It was shot through with gristle and I regret not sending it back but that would have resulted in a long delay. Service was good but the restaurant was very far from full on a Thursday night. The restaurant has a very extensive menu but, if we went back (which we don't plan to do in the near future), we'd stick to seafood.

“Consistently good food, excellent jazz night on Mondays”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 20, 2009

My partner and I dine at the Roadhouse frequently and have always found the food to be good, although not spectacular or cutting edge (and they don't pretend to be.). The menu offers standard Italian American dishes with a concentration on seafood. Service has always been friendly and professional. The reason to go, however, is the jazz on Mon nights. The band is usually on, and the vocalist, Lori Columbo, fantastic. It's loud in the cafe section those nights, its all about the music. So, if you want to have a romantic conversation, asked to be seated in the main restaurant.
