“Very nice on a cold nite”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 18, 2013

On a cold winter's night, the back bar near the fireplace is an excellent place to be. The food is good and the prices are reasonable. You can fill up on appitizers, a salad and a glass of wine.

“One of the best for dinner in Hyannis”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 9, 2013

We love the ambiance at the Roadhouse. There are several seating options of which our favorite is a booth in the lounge. This is a cozy, dark and "woody" space with lots of interesting items and signs adorning the walls and beams. The restaurant is popular so there is always a busy upbeat vibe. The Back Door Bistro is nice too with a 3-sided piano bar and a more casual feel than the main restaurant. We have always experienced excellent service. Be aware that the onsite parking is valet, so if that is not for you, think about finding a spot on the street.

The food is consistently good, and the menu offers a large variety of options for appetizers, meat, seafood and pasta. The baby calamari in vodka sauce was tender and tasty, The cedar plank salmon with Jack Daniels glaze was done perfectly. It was accompanied by Jasmine rice and spinach that was better than the average "gloppy" sauté. Oysters Rockefeller were large with lots of creamy spinach.

“YOU CAN'T TELL A BOOK BY ITS COVER; AN ECLECTIC INTERIOR WITH EXTRAORDINARY FOOD”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 11, 2013

At the recommendation of a business colleague my wife and I went to the Roadhouse while on vacation. The menu features light Italian, classic American and, of course, seafood cuisine. My wife went for the house salad and veal marsala while I had the lobster bisque and the native seafood casserole. It was accompanied by a bottle of fine pinot grigio. Everything was perfect and both the atmosphere and the waitstaff were unobtrusive but added to the experience.

“Good food, nice atmosphere”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 5, 2013

Very nice dining atmosphere. Well decorated, piano bar and quaint fireplace in bar area. Food was very good and the wait and serving staff very friendly and attentive. Menu had a great variety and options. The only downside is it is 'pricey'.

“Great old building where the Kennedy's ate”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 31, 2013

We enjoyed our meal and the atmosphere in this older cape cod establishment the appetizer grilled shrimp on Asian slaw and the clam chowder were the highlights of the meal my wife had veal parm and I had chicken parm. Both acceptable but nothing special as we might have expected but good none the less
