I had a limelight deal for this restaurant. $20 to spend. The restaurant is located where the old harry's use to be. They did a great job renovating and the interior looked great. We stopped by late afternoon thinking we would get a couple drinks at the bar and a couple appetizers. The bartender was attentive and willing to make suggestions if we wanted. We did. He recommended for appetizers the crab cake and the baked brie. He felt the crab cake was the best on the cape with a lot of crab. We opted for the crab cake and the apple smoked bacon mussel appetizer.
My company had a Passion Fruit Brazilian martini.... one is plenty this drink could knock you off your stool. I had a glass of white. Good pour on both.
The apps came quickly and I must say I agree with our bartender the crab cake was one of the best. Lots of crab and not a lot of breading. Plus the spicy aioli was great. But the crab paled in comparison to the mussels. They were fresh and delicious. The sauce was delicious and we sopped it up with all of the bread. I could have ordered another one.
Soooo instead of stopping at our 2 apps we decided to keep going. The bartender brought the menus out again. We decided on the lunch portion of the braised beef risotto and a caesar salad. We were curious about the dressing and the bartender happily looked up the ingredients for us. He assured us it was made on premise. He even went so far as to have both meals split and plated separate for us.
The caesar was yummy with at least 4 anchovies on top...I love anchovies so I was thrilled. The beef risotto was different. Different good, but it tasted almost a little like a stew it was thick and rich and almost something better on a fall or winters day. It was also very filling. We didn't finish and got a to go box home.
After our drop in we have decided that we definitely will try it for Dinner.
