“Nice motel, great location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 21, 2006

We stayed at the Hyannis Holiday Motel the first week of June 2006. There are lovely beaches within a very short driving distance, and downtown is a good walk away. It's a very short walk to the ferry boats that run to Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket. There were restaurants within walking distance. We stayed in a suite (Suite B, perhaps?), and it was very roomy. One room had two full beds and a TV, and the room across the hall had one bed and a TV. There was one bathroom. The breakfast is basically pastry, coffee, tea, and juice. The towels were a little thin. The hotel was reasonably priced, and the staff members were very helpful and friendly. We liked it so much we stayed an extra night, and we'd definitely return.

My wife and I visited Cape Cod last week and we stayed at the Hyannis Holiday Motel for five nights. We were very impressed with the motel's location because we could park our car and walk to the local beaches and to downtown area. There are many restuarants in the area and we loved Baxter's Boat House on the harbor, we sat out on their deck and watched the world go by and great food. One day we took a boat trip to Nantucket on the ferryboat which departed 200 yards from this motel and we highly suggest taking this trip to the island. We were also impressed with the motel's clean room and the very friendly staff. When we first checked in to the motel, the front desk clerk was so freindly and helpful with our many tourist questions. We are so looking forward to visiting Cape Cod in September and we have already booked our reservation at the Hyannis Holiday Motel.

We spent 4 days in Cape Cod in late October - staying at the Hyannis Holiday Motel. We booked a "superior" room with King bed and harbour view - worth the extra cost in our opinion as we could sit in bed in the morning and watch the ferries going in and out of the harbour.
The motel was fine, the room good and big and decently furnished and they provided a basic "continental" breakfast. We didn't have time to use the indoor pool. There are several very good restaurants in Hyannis, but one excellent place just opposite the motel on the harbourside.

We spent one day exploring Cape Cod - right out to Provincetown. We went out on route 6A and returned on Route 28. These routes gave a good insight into how Cape Cod really looks because they pass through many of the original small "villages" where the grand holiday houses were originally built.
Another day we took the ferry to Nantucket Island and did the bus tour of the island. A worth-while day out and it gave a lovely feeling for island life and how the other half lives!

Cape Cod is a place we could easily return to, for a longer stay - but from what we heard, we would not choose to be there during the peak summer vacation period.

Too Much money for what we got! My fiancé and I stayed in one room while our friends were in the next room over. We paid $140.00 (a night) and we all had problems with both of the rooms! Both rooms smelled like mildew, the AC’s hardly worked. There was a motion light outside both of our rooms that kept going off and waking us up.
They were hardly any towels in the room. Our hot water didn’t work at all, which was an inconvenience because we were getting ready to go out. They did call a plumber, but it was too late to take a shower.
The continental breakfast was a joke, nothing but old doughnuts and the room that held the “breakfast” smelled of must, smoke and mildew.
We, the four of us, all feel like we got ripped off. We will never stay there again.
There are two nicer hotels down the street that we wished we had stayed at.

Musty, musty, musty! This place had such an odor. Also, their web site is deceiving. It makes the place look so nice, when in reality it is a run down motel. I wouldn't wish this place on anyone!

After reviewing all the hotels for hyannis on the web before making a reservation, I'm extremely glad we chose the Hyannis Holiday. The rooms are very clean and nice sized. The pools are too. No rough or roudy crowd
here, just a great family location. The staff is excellant. It truly is the best location in town, the harbor area is where you want to be not main street.
Great time, highly recommend.
