We stayed here over Labor Day weekend (having booked through Hotels.com so ended up with an upgraded large room and bath with beautiful updated decor) unlike some of the naysayers listed here. Although we didn't have our kids with us, we enjoyed the pool and exercise room which was huge and well-equpped. The food in the restaurants, inside and out was excellent and the Grand Cru restaurant provided a wonderful steak and seafood dinner on Friday night, complete with a first class musical group which was a real crowd pleaser, although a bit loud for such a small room. We also sampled Hyannis restaurants on Thursday evening and Friday lunch(recommendations provided by the excellent desk staff) and enjoyed our table facing the harbor as we did damage to the fried seafood that abounds in the area. We have travelled all over the Cape and stayed in many 4 star facilities, and while this was technically 3 star, our room, the facilities, the central location, the restaurants, the cleanliness and the really outstanding service and accommodating attitude of all, really made it a 5 star experience and one of the best we've had in an area of primarily older properties. It is part of the group that also owns the Dan'l Webster in Sandwich, where we attended a wedding, and while that has more charm, this was just as nice at 3 times the size. We would definitely stay here again.

Cottage cheese ceilings. Dated decor. Small bed. Not exactly a great location. Plus they charged our credit card as soon as we made the reservation. We won't be back. Was it clean? If it were mine I would have asked someone to clean the grout in the bathroom... Or done it myself.

We stayed for 2nights, and this was one of our stops on our fly drive holiday. The resort itself was very good, the hotel room was large and spacious, and clean, and the beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was more than adequate. I also liked having a fridge in the room, which was handy for keeping drinks etc cool. And the resort itself was very self contained, which hence the title would be very good for families, especially with the 2 pools. Food and drinks however were on the expensive side, but we found that to be quite general. However for ourselves who wanted to get out and about in Hyannis, it was a little to far out.

We visited Hyannis on last week of August, 2012. First impression: the location was on route 132, which is a very busy highway... Not too many stores in the area, nowhere to go for walks, except 5 minutes of driving and you are in downtown Hyannis, which is absolutely beautiful...
The hotel is old, smells like an old building, but has its own charm. The rooms are clean and with the basics for your stay. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. I guess some people love their jobs...Both pools were great. This resort is for families with kids, for sure...
The restaurant - Heath n' Kettle is great as well. The food was excellent, but on the pricey side...Service was great as well...We will be back, for sure.

I stayed here with 4 adults and 5 kids in a 3 bedroom residence. The residence was fantastic, really high spec and immaculate. It was extremely expensive though and the standard of the room was a bit of a mismatch with the standard of the rest of the hotel, which was good but not the same. The kids facilities were first class with heaps to do. Overall a really well put together place for families.

Being first-time cape goers with a 2 and 3-year old, we were nervous to find a spot we'd all like. A friend recommended the Cape Codder, and we couldn't have been more pleased with our selection. Plenty of things to do on-site; our kids loved the wave pool, outdoor pool and nightly bonfire. Also, having the convenience of downtown and the beach minutes away enabled us to venture out as well.

Hello,

I just wanted to put in a plug for the Cape Codder. This is a nice family resort with excellent amenities including an excellent pool and indoor waterpark. The food is excellent as well as the service. The only thing that I would skip would be the coffee.

Room Tip: Pick a room away from the laundry room. It gets very noisy there.
