“Wonderful breakfast place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 17, 2013

I had the cinnamon bun French toast as a special at my first visit and pancakes at my second visit. Both were wonderful. The coffee is good. The food is better than good. It is well worth a stop. You will not be disappointed.

“Successful combination...food and service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 17, 2013

When looking for a very good breakfast or lunch you often wonder when walking into your choice of restaurants what you will find. The Daily Paper "delivers" a clean comfortable environment, very good fresh food and a wait staff that isn't just good, they work together, it doesn't matter if a server took your order or not...everyone pitches in to help. You never get "let me get your server" you get service!

“Good Breakfast”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 5, 2013

I had the raisin french toast which was very different and hubby had the steak and eggs (whole piece of steak, not just steak tips.) Food was good, service was fast and efficient. Would definitely recommend it.

“OK but not the friendly place it once was...”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 31, 2013

You will not have a bad breakfast here. However, what used to be a friendly, familar spot with a stable wait staff of regulars and high school kids in training has become much more expensive and a lot less personal.

The food remains good and the portions reasonable. The value and frinedliness of the experience has dramatically diminished since the restaurant expanded to a second location on Hyannis Main Street. Something has changed as management may have been distracted by their new location.

You are now confronted with pricing for changes and extras that seem to have been dreamt up by an airline extra fee executive. For example, to switch a toast order, included with breakfast, to a single english muffin costs an extra $1. A very small fruit bowl is $4.95. Having gone to this restaurant for many years, we have now begun to frequent other, just as good breakfast spots in Centerville and Barnstable. The food remains good, but the small town feel is ebbing away as th customers start being nickel and dimed.
