Description: The newly renovated Duck Inn Pub reopened under new management May of 2012 as Cape Cod's only upscale dive bar. It features and all new menu with great home-made food, a full service bar with 8 beers on tap, wine, the cheapest drinks on Main St and Keno. The Pub has a spacious covered patio with heaters overlooking the center of Hyannis's Main Street. The DIP has become Hyannis's first stop for quality live entertainment featuring terrific local bands and never a cover charge. The DIP is THE venue that local musicians want to play. We have a buy-one-get-one special daily from 11:30 am to 2:00 pm and all day Tuesday as well as half price appetizers every day from 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm. See our website for more details.

“Very disappointing meal- very expensive for poor experience.”
Reviewed June 29, 2013 via mobile

While walking on Main St, the cute patio and decent pub menu caught our eye. Once seated and having ordered, we brought our children inside to wash their hands in the restrooms... The bar inside was dark and dingy. We figured it was more of a local bar than family pub, and proceeded to the restroom only to find that there was not any hand soap in either bathroom. Hope the waitstaff was washing their hands elsewhere.. Our food arrived and for the price, each meal was of poor quality and not as good as we hoped considering the price. I couldn't believe the total on the bill and left most of our food on our plates because it just wasn't good. Our waitress did her best on her part, but it was clear that some of the employees had various acquaintances hanging around, smoking cigarettes very near the seating area. Wouldn't recommend as a place for a good meal- a place for a beer at best.

“WARNING: DO NOT DINE HERE!!!!!!!!”
Reviewed June 29, 2013

This was our first official beach day in cape cod and we were having a great day. We went to main street to look for a meal. We decided to try this monstrosity of a restaurant. It didn't look like much from the outside. We went in a were greeted by a waitress that made you uncomfortable. We never got offered to sit inside. We had a party of 7 and she put 2 uneven sized tables together. Then she handed us the specials with was written on a index card.We ordered our drinks 15 mins.after we were seated and there was barely any other costumers. 30 mins. later we were asked what we wanted to eat. We considered leaving to go to the place next door. 1 hr. 30mins. later our food came. my friends steak and cheese had not arrived yet and we were told it would be out 10 mins later...30 mins later the waitress asked how she wanted the meat done. I ordered steak tips medium and they came out burned to a crisp therefore inedible. By the time our food came out the 8 year old in our party was freezing and tired and he had to go to school the next morning. My friend who ordered the steak and cheese never got her side along with 2 others In our party. Meanwhile we were irritated by lousy entertainment which by all means was not entertaining. We complained to the waitress and she blamed it all on the cook and didn't offer a discount or an apology. We got the bill and were extremely shocked because it was outrageously priced and we were charged for items we never received. We strongly recommend NEVER going there. EVER!

“Worst dining experience ever!”
Reviewed June 24, 2013

We made the mistake of eating there in June 2013. Absolutely an awful experience from start to finish. Staff on smoking breaks 6 feet from our outside table. Staff friends huddled at one table leering and making rude comments. The waitress was argumentative and rude.
We waited an hour and fifteen minutes for our food . Even after asking my wife three times how she wanted her sandwich it still came out wrong. The French fries tasted like the oil had gone bad. My overpriced 17.99 steak tip plate which was ordered medium came out burnt crispy black. The kitchen had ran out of the side order and we were never offered any alternatives.
The waitress never offered any comps and blamed it all on the girl in the kitchen. Told us that she can't cook the food and serve it too!
Was equally rude to the neighboring tables who had the same complaint. No overseeing management present and it shows.

“Duck out Pub”
Reviewed June 11, 2013

Bad Bad so Bad. Waited an hour for food which was just sandwiches and many items on menu were not available. Very frustrating. Do not advise going.

“Dirty dive”
Reviewed May 28, 2013

This is a down to earth dive bar, locals surrounding the bar. For a drink it was reasonably good fun. They have a good draft beer selection including Stella and Lagunitas IPA. The food was a low point though, we had the fish sandwich and the gyros. We felt both were overpriced for the size and quality. The fries were straight not curly as the menu had advertised. My meal came with a hair lying across the fries. The loud abusive cursing from the drunken locals and the 18% tip that was added to the check ensured that we won't be back in a hurry. Our check came to over $60 for the 2 meals and 5 beers. Try Embargo next door for delicious, quality food instead of this dirty bar.
