Traveling to Nantucket mid-week was only $50 round trip. Parking at the terminal is essentially always full, especially if you're not there first thing in the morning. They have plenty of off site parking with shuttle buses and there are also some other independant parking options within a block that are an easy walk.

The ferry has a few tables along the windows but these seats also fill up fast. There is some food and drinks available on the ferry. It was a smooth ride and there were several TV's throughout the inside seating offering something to watch during the short trip. The seats and everything were clean and well maintained.

we wended up taking steamship to Nantucket this year because 50.00 mon-thurs round trip, cant beat that.
we took the fast ferry and was there in an hour and back in an hour at night. they do have seats outside in the back if you get a little sea sick and they sell beverages and snacks as well. the staff is friendly and there to help if you need something.
overall we enjoyed our trip with them and thank them for getting us there and back safely.

We felt it was a bit on the High side in price. $139.00 for a round trip for 2 on a Saturday. But, Staff was very friendly. If it's only $100.00 Monday-Thursday round trip for 2, it makes you wonder way they charge more Friday-Sunday. I understand there may be more people and more trips but that should lead to more business right? Or Is it different fuel on the weekend? ha ha
All in all it was a safe trip and unless there is another way to get there it is what it is!

Truly a fair price and good service. It was affordable. Some of the ships were outrageously priced but these guys had a good price and that's all you really need to get over to the vineyard for a day. Also nice that there were cabs waiting as soon as you get off the boat.

We had booked our fast ferry online with Steamship Authority. When we later called to ask them a few questions, the person was very rude from the get-go. We were just asking simple questions and were talked down to very condescendingly. We promptly canceled our reservations with Steamship and rebooked on Hyline and received much more professional and friendly service throughout the process. Go with Hyline if you don't need to bring a car over.

Also have to make a comment on Steamship Authority's webpage being the worst website in the world to try and navigate and work with. Another advantage to Hyline is that their website is much more straightforward and just makes more sense. There are no questions lingering in your mind when booking on Hyline's website because everything is clearly defined and easy to understand.

I'm sure you'll get to where you want to go on Steamship, but why deal with all the headaches along the way?
