Owner description: The John F. Kennedy Hyannis Museum Foundation preserves and promotes the legacy of President Kennedy, his family, and their deep connection to Cape Cod. John F. Kennedy Hyannis Museum is a multimedia exhibit designed to open a window on the days JFK spent on Cape Cod; days relaxing with family, days as President of the United Sates when the Cape provided a time to relax and be reinvigorated and days spent sailing on the ocean to which he was so constantly drawn. The Museum's exhibits features videos and photographs spanning the years 1934 to 1963 and is arranged in thematic groupings to reflect John F. Kennedy, his family, his friends and the Cape Cod he so dearly loved. In addition to photography, a video narrated by Walter Cronkite depicts the president's experiences on the Cape. Several themed areas include charged oral histories of JFK's friends.

A fine small collection of family photos and memorabilia. Easy to do in little over an hour. For the whole enchilada visit the JFK library in Boston.

“Not the same as a Presidential Library, but a fitting tribute to a favorite son.”

This museum is small, just 3 or 4 small rooms, but there are some great pictures and artifacts of "Camelot" and times gone by. I loved the pictures with John, Jr. & Caroline. You can cover this museum in less than 1 hour. Don't miss the fact that the Cape Cod Baseball League Hall of Fame is located in the basement!!!

“Interesting and informative”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 16, 2012

My wife and I visited this out of curiosity and were pleased that we had. Neither of us were aware of his contribution to the world at the time but his legacy and the effect on those around him and the world is well illustrated in a small museum with some interesting pictures and storylines. The admission price is good value and included in the price is access to the baseball museum, which was celebrating those from the area who had made good. For our part, neither of us knows the rules of baseball and we would have been delighted to have viewed a short DVD etc about how it is played.

“Insightful.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 10, 2012

A good little museum and as so pertinent to Hyannis an ideal opportunity to see JFK and the family in such a pivotal town to them. The relevant history made going around Hyannis and Hyannis Port even more interesting. The baseball museum was good too.
