There is precious little in the way of restaurants or bars along the long stretch of Route 20 between Westfield and Lee, MA. The handful that do exist are generally not very exciting. Four Main Street Bar & Grill is an exception.
The quality of the food is a notch or two higher than what you would expect from a small restuarant in a hilltown and the prices are low. The owners clearly care about the quality of the ingredients and do a very nice job with preparation - crab cakes, salad with sliced sirloin, french onion soup, burgers etc.. The interior is very nice - a lot of dark wood, a nice old bar, old black & white photos of Huntington's past and a couple of display cases of antiques. They also have MA brewed Steel Rail Pale Ale on tap - very nice.
The only downside is the time it takes to get your food if the place is crowded (and they could have sprung for nicer tables).
