Besides in being in the Berkshires, esp right now with the leaves changing colors the dam/lake is very quiet and peaceful now if you want a great walk that is challenging park at the school and start your walk as you hit the flat ground soon you will going up hill to the lake and dam and then back to the school great workout and plenty of fresh air

Littleville has much to offer if you're looking for a nice quite place to get away. You will find no human dwellings on the shore line, but you might see a curious eagle perched atop a tree or a deer grazing along the shoreline. We've even seen moose on several occasions. Since we live less than a mile from the lake we often take the kayaks out first thing in the morning while the fog is still lifting from the water. So beautiful to be on the lake when the sun breaches the horizon. And the motor size is limited on all boats so you'll never have to worry about that fool who has to get from one side to the other faster than Superman. If you're into walking there's a trail that traverses the lake in its entirety. Or you might just walk the top of the dam which is 1/2 mile across. Over and back and you've done a mile. Great exercise after supper to burn off those excess calories. Don't forget to bring your camera when you visit and watch the tree tops and the shoreline. One last thing: great trout fishing, both in the lake and the head waters of the Middle Branch of the Westfield River. Enjoy. It's FREE

To visit Littleville is like stepping out of clock time and moving into soul time. Nothing to distract from the sheer beauty and quiet of this place. There's a long lake, wooded trails along the side of the lake, fishing, and boating that's limited to kayaks, canoes, and trolling motors. Walking on top of the dam gives great views of the area. No designated picnic areas, but there are grassy areas to put a chair, or spread out a blanket. No swimming.

I have no word to describe this beauty . I was there last week. The lake , people, houses, cars and trees are so simple . That make me think about my family in the past. Everything was just like yesterday .

Found this on the map, while touring for the day, a great find of a small Lake, man made reservoir, with dam, great for fishing, kayaking, walking, or just relaxing. Don't forget to have lunch or drink at Rapids Bar & grill, nearby, on the 112.
