After all the previous Little Chef problems, this place is still the same old - same old LC fare.
We like to keep away from the burger type stuff because we try to avoid the fats so my wife had a jacket potato and tuna. There was a small amount of salad garnish, she said it was ok but at £5, thought it was expensive. I decided to risk the fat and ask for jumbo fish and chips. The waiter said that the fish could not be cooked without batter (like my chip shop does) but I ordered it anyway. When it arrived, it tasted ok but it was nowhere near a JUMBO fish and chips portion. Just a piece of fish about 4 inches long, a few peas and a handful of chips, for £8 I was glad to get into Andover, and buy food in a bigger portion at a more reasonable price.
The place is only basically clean and acceptable if you really need a break, and to eat and or drink. A WARNING though is to be very careful when driving out of this service area, the run up on to the A303 is short, the busy traffic is very fast, so it can be a dodgy exit!
We do not intend to go in there again!

We have eaten here on several occasions over the years, the last being on the 31st October 2013 (Southbound). The service was friendly quick and efficient, the food was of good quality at a reasonable price.
We have no problems with the Little Chef itself but the building it is in is a disgrace. If we did not know better, just looking at it from the outside would have prevented us from venturing into the restaurant. Using the toilets afterwards is certainly of questionable benefit!
Sort the building out and earn 5 stars, please?

We wanted a quick afternoon tea and missed the Pooham Services. We haven't stopped here before so thought it would be OK. Little Chef. Big company. Reasonable standards etc. Mistake.
No welcome. The restaurant was empty when we arrived, but we still couldn't find a clean table. Carpet needed cleaning. Waiter's apron was filthy. Need I go on.
We will not be calling in again.

We stopped at the north bound services, Sutton Scotney, on the A34 to eat and found ourselves at the Little Chef.

I don't have a lot to say really except that the staff were polite, the food took a long time to arrive but it was nice and good value.

However, the whole place could do with refurbishing. There were scuff marks and broken panels on the counters. The ladies loo was appalling. The whole building was tired and looked as though it should be pulled down.

So it's ok if you're starving but we'll keep driving next time and visit the next services which aren't much further.

Just thought it was worth a mention as this particular little chef was better than average.
Our previous visits to these places have been memorable for the wrong reasons.
Yes my two eggs on toast was £3.95 but the place was clean, the service was exceptionally quick, the waitress was pleasant and efficient (as they all appeared to be!) and the food was fine.
Therefore this is not particularly a recommend, just a mention to say, if you are passing, in a hurry and want a quick snack in a clean environment this one may serve the purpose.
