Gordon Ramsay just filmed his Kitchen Nightmares show there last week (May 17, 2012) and did a good job of cleaning up the place and re-vamping the menu. He scaled it down to a much more manageable size for the kitchen. Since it was the first day after reopening, it was crowded as expected but only took 15 minutes to get a table outside on the patio.
Checked out the drink menu and found that they were offering my one of my favorite drinks, Goombay Smash. So I had to try it. Not bad, not bad at all.
For dinner I had the fried seafood platter. Much better than before. The haddock was battered with a thin crisp coating, light and flaky inside. The scollops were amazing! Shrimp and clams were also good.
Service is better since they now have a new electronic ordering system that gets sent to the kitchen as it is ordered at the table....kinda cool.
