Had been wanting to try this place after reading great reviews on a local blog. This place is clean and relatively new, is geared towards takeout but there are a few tables and seats in and outside. There is a fresh seafood counter with competitive prices, prepared meals you can cook at home, and hot food prepared on site. The staff is very pleasant, I believe there is a lot of family working here. As I go by this place at least twice a day I was really hoping that it would be to my liking as they offer the fried seafood items I absolutely have to have when I want them. We ordered 2 chicken tender dinners and a fried clam dinner and when we picked it up I initially thought, fibreboard containers instead of Styrofoam, this is a place that gets it. That's where it ended, though. The chicken tenders were really overcooked, they should have never been plated, and on all the onion rings the batter had completely fallen off or fell off when you took them off your plate. The fried clams, ($15.95) were the same way, the batter fell off and there were only 7 clams on the plate! Even Howard Johnsons did better! They are competing with a really good seafood restaurant up the street but this place did not serve us anything that would make us consider returning. They had posted about needing another fryolator to keep up with demand but maybe whoever said that had been out in the beautiful Hull sun too long.
