In this case it certainly seems to be that way. What a beautiful view and right across a small street from the beach, although not the kind of beach I am used to. The whole beach is like the area where just the tide comes in on say a beach in Florida, not sandy and soft at all. I had a room facing the beach though so that was a plus. The room had a king size bed, desk, fireplace, loveseat and a table. This room was super small with all that crammed into it. They definitely could have done without the sofa and table. Fireplace was a nice touch. The bathroom was adequate and jet tub was good after a long drive. I wonder if you request 2 double beds if you would get a bigger room. The people at the front desk were friendly enough. I had the AAA rate with breakfast voucher. Breakfast was a special menu but it was just enough food and very good. I booked from their website but had seen Expedia special rates that were cheaper and able to cancel. I don't know if I would pay full boat in the summer for this room as I said it was very small. I think it depends on what you are looking for, for your needs. I might stay for 1 or 2 days if I were going to Boston and wanted a change of scenery. My visit was a pass through.

Room Tip: Maybe try a double bedded room.

Found the resort on line for a good rate, booked it last minute. Very friendly hotel staff greeted us, explained the property layout, etc. Room was clean but small but again, rate was good! otherwise beautiful view, nice restaurant/lounge with nightly specials. Would definitely stay again

Room Tip: Maybe if you request a larger room you would be accommodated

We have been going through a difficult situation with a flood in our Hingham condo, this resort has made it so much easier to deal with. We find all to be very nice, but, Kathy really extended herself on our behalf, always making sure that we got a great room. We feel lucky to have this hotel so close by will recommend always. kudos to our new found friend,Kathy

Room Tip: We found 2nd floor ocean front to be the best, but, partial ocean view is nice as well

Stayed at this motel on a trip to Boston and it was a great stay. The motel was big, nice, clean and inviting as you approach and it only gets better from there. The staff was very friendly, the motel room and baths was big and clean and comfortable. One of the nicer motels we have stayed at. When we return to Boston on our next trip we will look no farther than Nantasket Beach Resort

We enjoyed our stay here.

Good:

- The staff was very friendly and helpful.
- The rooms were spacious and clean (fireplace - too hot in August to use it).
- Great location - across the road from the beach
- Close to restaurants and shops (there's a grocery store a short drive away)
- A pool for when you don't want to go in the ocean

Not so good:

Not much really. Keep in mind that there are many families there and kids can be noisy (kids will be kids). The rooms are not well insulted and you can hear quite well what happens in the rooms next door and above you.

I had earplugs and was fine. The rest of the family slept well without any earlugs.

Room Tip: Try to get a room on the top floor if you want to avoid hearing footsteps.

Stayed three nights on the Newmarket tour of New England in the Fall. Tour guide urged us to eat at the local Barefoot Dan's or some such name. Ín fact the meals at the hotel are very good and not pricey if you eat the special of the day. And if you have a normal appetite they will divide the huge portion onto a second plate. Very good, helpful, friendly staff Coffee makeer and fridge and huge pile of bath towels changed every day ... tiny shower gel bottles and mini soaps, though, so take your own

My sister booked her 50th birthday party for 35 people at this hotel. It turned into a sort of a family reunion. Such a perfect place for the event. We had the party in the semi-private bar. The food was excellent, surpassed our expectations. We particularly loved the roasted vegetables sidedish-people couldn't stop talking about it. How often does that happen for a vegetable sidedish?! The rooms are clean and inviting (none of that dampness I associate with beach motels), with the heat powered by a cozy gas fireplace. So much nicer than hot air blowing into your room. (this was a November booking).
The wait staff and reception folk were kind, friendly and helpful. There is a great all season pool and jacuzzi which the kids (and a few adults) all took advantage of. Also an arcade room with billiard table and foosball (sp?) and other games-also fun for the kids. The fitness room is airy and spacious with huge windows, rather than dark and tucked at the end of a windowless hallway.
We all took long walks on the beach together after our big and tasty brunch at the Paragon Grill in the hotel, and climbed the rocks at low tide. This was such a memorable experience for all who attended. I highly recommend this affordable gem of a hotel.
