Restful Paws is a must-stay for all true pet lovers. I had never imagined a place so catered to the relaxation and enjoyment of both pets and their owners. Nestled in an idyllic hamlet near Sturbridge, MA, Restful Paws is a haven of beautiful furnishings, delicious home-baked breakfast treats (for you and your pet) and the most gracious, thoughtful hosts imaginable. Every detail is thought of, from towels and food bowls for your pet, to the beautiful playroom for their pet-sitting services, to the convenient waste receptacles and little iron sculptures on the nature trails.

It's situated on a huge property with beautiful grounds and a large gazebo where you can have breakfast served. Each room is a different theme, with every corner spotless and decorated tastefully. I highly recommend the Audubon Delight! With a dog-friendly establishment, you’d expect all kinds of odors emanating from the carpet; with air purifiers in every room, it was fresher than any other hotel we’ve stayed in! They even made us pizza after a very late check-in. Also if your pup is a swimmer, you have to visit the giant bone-shaped doggie pool. If you’re lucky you’ll catch a glimpse of Rosie B. herself, the official B&B doggie mascot!

This was our puppy’s first vacation, and the host family and accommodations were so welcoming that we will be sure to return.

My husband, myself, and our bullmastiff stayed at this B&B for two nights and truly enjoyed the entire experience. The hosts are extremely welcoming and do everything in their power to make sure you and your pet are comfortable. Upon entering, we were extremely impressed with the absence of "pet smell." This B&B has an awsome air purifier to eliminated allergins and odors! Around every corner are treats, toys, literature, and something to do. We spent hours on the wooded trails and did obedience and agility training on the back lawn. Maria was wonderful with our bully. She lovingly cared for him and kept him entertained while we went out for dinner each night. At night, we curled up on the couch, watched t.v., while a fire crackled in the background and our dog curled up at our feet. Perfect.

We briefly stayed at the Restful Paws B&B on our way through Massachussetts (-). One night was enough to want to return again for a long weekend. This country setting B&B caters to travelers with canine and feline companions in tow. It even includes a newly built dog bone shaped indoor pool for pooches to swim and play.

The four guest rooms are in a separate annex from the owner's home, which also includes a large entertainment room for your enjoyment. We stayed in the Country Elegance room and it was tastefully and beautifully decorated (far above what you'd expect in a place that caters to dog owners). The elegant breakfast brought to our room in the morning included yogurt, fine pastries and fruit. It even included dog treats for each of our dogs.

The special thing about Restful Paws is that they pamper the guests, but especially pamper their dogs. Treats are avaialable at your choosing, and soft beds are provided along with water/food bowls. Though we did not have time to hike, there are wooded trails behind the house for you to enjoy. We would suggest this place for anyone who wants to getaway from the city with their dogs.
