We had a lovely dining experience at L'Alouette.

The evening started with delicious appetizers. We enjoyed a rich and tasty lobster bisque. Our veal entree was perfectly prepared with a delicate reduction sauce. The aspargus was grilled expertly and appropriately crisp, not soggy as can happen so often in restaurants. The mashed potatoes were creamy and delicious. Best of all was the expertly done creme brûlée. The rich, dark, bold aromatic coffee completed our evening of great dining.

We plan to return often and tell our family and friends.

Plan a visit when you are on the Cape. You won't be sorry.

Enjoy

The six of us are local residents. Three years ago we were disappointed with very poor service and cold food. Tonight was a totally different experience. We all enjoyed the excellent service and food preparation. All courses were excellent and the three glasses of wine made the dinner a bargin.

We've been to L'Alouette more times than I could count over the years, and it's probably time I wrote a review. Last night we enjoyed another great meal there (including the warm Wellfleet oysters, the duck, and the veal paillard) -- all very well prepared and attentively served. We made good use of the three-course special that included three glasses of wine -- a good value. We love coming to the Cape in all four seasons, and being able to enjoy L'Alouette even in the winter.

The food was wonderful. I partook in the dining deal which included a selection of different wines throughout the meal. It was utterly enjoyable. Nice atmosphere and delicious unique food.

Looking for a restaurant that was open Thanksgiving in Cape Cod and came upon L'Alouette in Harwichport.A charming restaurant with great food and wonderful service. They offer a priz-fix menu during the week and this was the case on Thanksgiving. There was the traditional fare as well as other choices.Don't skip the desserts They are to die for.As good as the bakeries in Paris Romantic atmosphere in room with fireplace.Owners were their and very friendly. Don't pass this up if you are looking for something different from the fried fish and clam places on the Cape.
