Seadar is simply put a very nice and pleasant place to stay. Its in a quiet part of cape cod, close to the beach and reasonably priced. The owner-manager goes to great lengths to make your stay comfortable and pleasant. What more could you expect. Thanks Joe in MD

I have been to Seadar Inn four or five times and it has always been a wonderful experience. The location is perfect, the rooms are attractive and comfortable, and the innkeeper, Michael, couldn't be more accommodating.
You can walk to beautiful Bank Street Beach in less than five minutes. The beach is quiet even when it is somewhat crowded. It's amazing but I've been there many times and I've never heard a loud radio or anyone noticeably yelling even when they have small children! I love to swim, and the ocean at this beach rarely gets too rough -- as it does at the national seashores. I came with a friend on this trip, and the fact that you can walk to town in ten minutes where there is everything you might want from restaurants, to drugstores, to art galleries, to shops of many kinds meant that we could each easily do our own thing if we wished without getting into the car.
My room was small but had recently been redone and was very attractive and comfortable. There is also a nice sitting area inside the lobby, as well as tables outside on the beautiful green lawn -- so you could eat your plentiful continental breakfast inside or outside. We usually preferred to eat inside as it was fun to talk with the other guests who were an eclectic and interesting group. And whether you needed an extra towel, a recommendation for a restaurant, or to check out a bit later than the posted time, Michael was always accommodating and genuinely cares about his guests. Seadar Inn is a special place that I look forward to going back to for many years to come.

I agree with all the positive comments made by other reviewers. This quaint Inn is an outstanding value. More importantly to us was the right on Nantucket Sound location (truly steps to a beautiful beach), the light, airy, clean room (we fell asleep to a wonderful beach breeze and the sound of the waves) and the remarkable innkeeper Michael (he seemed always available, clearly taking great pride in the Inn, having a great staff and all these things showed). Touches like a perfectly kept green lawn having several inviting round tables with chairs and umbrellas which are perfect for visiting, reading, relaxing or whatever. The complimentary continental breakfast turned out to be the icing on the cake (pun intended). It was excellent with plenty of fresh fruit, yogurt, granola, assorted cereals, bagels, muffins jams and jelly served in a wonderful rustic dining room set up for community/family style eating. Needless to say we will go back to the Seadar Inn. I can't wait to again park the car at the Inn and possibly not move it until checkout. So perfect a spot we can walk wherever we want to go; beach, shops, restaurant or Ice Cream shop, making for a great and RELAXING time. Whether this is your first or fifthieth time to CapeCod if you find a room at the Inn you won't be disappointed. Oh and lest I forget, what a people friendly atmosphere. Young, Old, Family, Couple, Solo, Native of the U.S., Canada or an International visitor won't be able to resist the urge to smile (and maybe say hello). Larry and Anne G

We stayed for 3 nights in August and had a very pleasant experience. The room was small, but it was perfectly adequate for 2 people and the bathroom had been recently renovated. We were about a block off the beach, which was beautiful for sunrises and sunsets. It took us about 5-10 minutes to walk into town, and there is ample parking in front of the hotel. I love that Seadar had tables and chairs outside where any of the guests could sit with a glass of wine or pizza to go from Embers. We would definitely stay here again...very relaxing!

This was our third trip to the Seadar Inn. We enjoy the autonomy of private rooms, the prime location and the accessibility of Michael and his staff to accomodate our vacation needs. The Inn was full up this week with happy traveler's. Don't miss the friendly banter during the better than average continental breakfast. Anticipate fun at a reasonable price. To be continued...

Room Tip: We like the end units .

Anything on Cape usually grows exponentially more expensive with its proximity to water. This little Inn (just a couple of dozens of rooms) is practically right on the beach while prices are quite affordable. I mean, it'll be a better deal compare to something less expensive further in-land if you need to buy a day or a week pass to a beach parking. Modest breakfast options but you can easily supplement it with fresh fruits from local grocers. Endless dining options in Harwich and around. Seadar Inn is very clean, stuff is very friendly and tries to accomodate your every wish if it's possible. Larger, more expensive rooms are semi-detached and hence have more sound insulation and are very nice. My only complaint - they don't have pet-friendly rooms, otherwise I'd a regular there, returning every summer - bank street beach is great - white sand, clean, large. You can walk or run for 1.5 miles on tide-compacted sand. Swimming area is also quite large, so you don't get reprimanded by lifeguards after swimming only 10 or 20 feet.

Room Tip: I'd spill for a larger, more expensive room as building is a "true Cape Coder" - fairl...

This was our first visit to the Seadar Inn, but I have been visiting Harwich Port since I was a young child. The location is ideal; close to the beach, restaurants, and shops. Michael and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. Great stay!!
