We stayed at the Allen Harbor Breeze Inn June 16 to June 21. The Inn is a very relaxing and peaceful setting. We sat on our small porch and enjoyed the lovely gardens and neighborhood. The area is a beautiful setting for pleasant walks to the nearby harbor or beaches. The Inn is just a short walk to two local beaches. It is ideally located for day trips throughout the cape. We traveled to Martha's Vineyard, Nantucket by Ferry and Chatham, Hyannis and Provincetown by car. There is a ferry to Nantucket only minutes from the Inn. The hosts, Marie and Jim, were very cordial and were most helpful with suggestions on dining in the area, places to visit. This was a most relaxing vacation.

Stayed for a weekend and had a lovely, relaxing time. The owners take good care of their guests and the property. The room was quaint and very clean. The breakfast was good and it was fun to meet and talk with other guests in the breakfast room. The gardens were lovely. Had a pool and was near the harbor. Easy access to town and route 28. Went to Monomoy Summer Stock Theater on Sat. night.in Chatham ( the best theater on the cape!) and only took about 15 mins. to get back to the Inn after seeing The King and I. Just wish the rates at the Inn were a little lower... But all in all ...happy we stayed there!

We spent the 4th of July weekend at the Allen Harbor Breeze while visiting family in Chatham. We were in the Cathedral room which was spacious, immaculate and had everything we needed. It is one of the larger rooms and has a daybed. Marie and Jim and kind hosts and maintain beautiful landscaping as well as a lovely pool, which we took a refreshing dip in one of the late afternoons we were there. The breakfast room is lovely and the homemade baked goods delicious. We took advantage of the many magazines and restaurant recommendations as well. The location is perfect; on Lower County Road which runs parallel to the always busy Rt. 28 but is far enough away for it to be a quiet and peaceful setting. A lovely harbor is right across the street, and you can walk to one of the town beaches. We'll definitely be back!

Room Tip: From the other reviews I have read, all the rooms are lovely if you have three people, you'll need one of the 2 or 3 rooms that accommodates more than two people.

This is our 3rd stay at Allen Harbor Breeze Inn during Fall and Spring seasons. As we told Marie, we feel like "regulars" now! The property is amazingly manicured with blooming gardens and meticulous landscaping. The rooms are spotless, cozy and comfortable...oh, and charmingly decorated. Waking up to Marie's homemade breakfast selections in the welcoming and bright dining nook overlooking the pool is something to look forward to each morning. We are avid cyclists and the Inn's location in Harwich makes for ease in connecting with the Cape Cod Rail Trail to cycle either to Chatham or thru the local towns of Orleans and Eastham up to Wellfleet. Marie and Jim make you feel like one-of-the-family. With all the activities to do on the Cape and staying busy, Allen Harbor Breeze is terrific to go back to for some quiet time, as well. Thanks, Marie and Jim for adopting us as your guests from Connecticut!! We will be working on our 4th visit soon!

After my experience last year, I returned for another long Memorial Day weekend, and found it even more rejuvenating than the first. This time around I stayed in the Lilac Room, which was lovely and fragrant from the blossoms outside, and after two days of rain I made a beeline back to the Inn and onto my porch as soon as the sun started poking through the clouds, basking in that idyllic setting for the rest of the afternoon.

I can't say enough about Jim and Marie, who once again met my every need - sometimes even before I knew what I needed - and at the same time provided for the needs of a vastly different set of guests - families with young children: my hat is off to you for your hard work and hospitality on this very busy start-of-the-summer weekend.

Being able to walk the labyrinth and celebrate Sunday Mass right "next door" was an added plus, and I am grateful to Ann and Marie for their ministrations and to the St. Mary of Magdala community for their hospitality in welcoming the summer "strangers" every year.

I look forward to staying with you again soon.
