Buca's Tuscan Roadhouse is a very fine restaurant. We were visiting relatives on the Cape and I asked them about Buca's because we'd read some of these Tripadvisor reviews. "Wonderful...but very expensive," said my aunt. She went on to say she had been there only once with her son and loved everything about the restaurant. In the summer you have to make reservations a week or more ahead, she said.
This November Buca's started a winter dinner specials menu that is served from Monday to Thursday. They offer 11 entrees priced between $15 and $18. We had hanger steak with rosemary potatoes, braised spinach and fontina cheese in a wine sauce and grilled salmon with fresh pasta, roasted tomatoes, grilled asparagus and mozzarella balls in olive oil. The portions were generous and the service was excellent. Dinner for three including a cocktail, glass of wine and two craft beers cost less than $100! No one on Cape Cod should miss this opportunity!

We went to Buca's on a local recommendation and had a wonderful dining experience. The restaurant is small, but not crowded. We were greeted at the door by name - probably because we had to call for directions after we missed the turn for Depot Rd. The food and service was outstanding. Just make sure that you have good directions and then go enjoy!

Everything was just wonderful, from the hostess greeting at the door to the Italian Wedding cake and lemoncello finish. I can't think of one negative thing to say. I loved the veal tenderloin special, others at the table loved their boar meat ravoli with marscapone sauce or swordfish over pasta. All appertizers were equally good. The four of us had to share one dessert we were so full and satisfied. Just a wonderful evening, everything paced beautifully and everyone friendly and accomadating.

Wife and I were in Tuscany in September, so when we saw an ad for this Tuscan restaurant on Cape Cod, we had to try it. Great move!

We were there off season - a Monday night in mid-October, and the place was pretty crowded. So the first thing to know is that reservations are a very good idea.

I had the Tuscan fish stew. Somewhere between bouilabaise and cioppino, it was filled with clams and a variety of fin fish. It came with a couple of slabs of Tuscan toast that I set aside until I had eaten the solids, and then used to sop up the tasy broth. Yummy!

Wife chose the chicken cooked in a chianti reduction sauce. She was initially a bit put off by the sauce and was afraid that she might have a problem later because it was rather rich and strong. But she did find it tasty, and the next day reported that there were no negative effects.

The restaurant is not especially large, and the parking lot appears to have been planned to coordinate with the number of people in the restaurant. When we left, we noted that there were no empty tables, and no empty slots in the lot. We had an early reservation and had no problem parking, but I could see a potential issue for those who choose to dine later. And since the restaurant is on the infamous Rt 28, parting on the street is not an option.

After a fantastic meal at Buca's during a Cape Cod stay last fall, we knew this would be at the top of the list upon our return. As hoped, the meal, the ambience, and the service were just as wonderful this time around. The mushroom bisque was rich and earthy, the pork chops were done to absolute perfection, and the fresh tagliatelle was just *incredible*. Wish we weren't a 12 hour drive away. Sigh.
