The Mason Jar is a good place to stock up with sandwiches and salads before setting out for your Cape Cod excursion. No bags of ice, however. You can get ice at the CVS drug store a few blocks to the west.

The sandwiches are made to order and they do not spare the ingredients! The soup is always terrific.

We always make sure to stop at the Mason Jar on our annual trip to the Cape. Their sandwiches are always high quality.

by the staff's lack of concern with a couple of flies buzzing about the food trays they were making the sandwiches from. At one point, the preparer stepped away to help someone while they were in the middle of preparing a turkey sandwich and the flies were perching all over it while she was gone. GROSS.I watched my tuna sandwich being made with a tremendous amount of focus and fortunately, being a relatively uncomplicated order, it was prepared and wrapped up pretty quickly and was free of any fly perching. That said, the sandwich was excellent and the vast amount of visitors seemed quite familiar with the joint and extremely eager to indulge in the offerings of The Mason Jar. I could easily see myself awarding this establishment four of five stars in the future, but they need to establish a No Fly Zone before that can happen.

There's a good choice but if you don't see what you want and they have the ingredients, they will make it for you. We had a couple of picnics on the beach with food from here. Lovely!!!
