“Nice family friendly resort”
Reviewed January 12, 2014 via mobile

My kids and I stayed here with my boyfriend and his family over New Year's week. We had both an A and B suite which were attached and gave each group a bit of privacy while allowing togetherness.

The rooms were fairly spacious while being cozy, the bed was comfortable and I would definitely stay there again.

It was very well appointed and the kitchen had just about everything we needed, except a cookie sheet for heating up appetizers that we had brought. (We improvised and just used foil.)

The pool and clubhouse area were clean and a nice treat after skiing.

The resort is so close to Jiminy Peak that we went back for lunch during our ski days.

We vacationed for a week which included Thanksgiving day and reserved the A/B units. From check-in to check-out we had a wonderful experience at this lovely resort. We all noticed the cleanliness and well stocked units. The staff and crew are doing a spectacular job with maintaining this place. Awesome view of Jiminy Peak, at dark, during their snow making time was captivating. Our entire family enjoyed swimming in the clean pool. Appreciated the warm water and warm air temperature. I requested a tea kettle and it appeared with in moments! We had a great time and we will be back.

Room Tip: We had end units, on the first floor, and found this very quiet. We requested this ahead since we...

We spend long weekend here with fresh mountain air, hot outdoor jacuzzi, fireplace and quietness nobody can beat. Partial kitchen, we stayed in B-style unit. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and we'll try to return in nearest future.

We have stayed here over Thanksgiving twice and enjoyed it each time.
The units are modern, clean and well serviced. The club house offers a gym, indoor pool, outdoor hot tub, a roaring fire, game room and free DVD movies for your room.
The location next to Jimini Peak is ideal for skiing.
The A unit offers a full kitchen with all the amenities and a large jacuzzi tub. This A unit also has the larger dining area and larger dining table. I would recommend this unit if travelling with family as it offers more "elbow" room.

Room Tip: Ask for an A unit. You may also request a unit that looks onto the woods or the mountain for the be...

The staff overall--excellent. The units good with all that u need to carry on daily routine. The fireplaces are not real (disappointment). When I called I was assured that the fireplaces are gas...not. They are electric and definitely rated ambience only. We rented a lockout unit...room w/full kitchen and room w/kitchen w/hot plate. Both units very clean and totally supplied..kitchen supplies, towels, iron and board, linens, vacuum. They were extremely clean. Issue w/ice maker was addressed within 15 mins (replaced). Didn't use pool, but fitness center was definitely adequate and clean. Location excellent. Parking excellent. We received early email from concierge regarding thanksgiving options. Definitely a plus. Txsgiving at Wheatleigh with review to follow. Would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: If u want a mountain view make a request. Several options. Pets can be accommodated

I recently stayed at for a four day weekend. I was very pleasantly surprised by how wonderful it was. The resort seems to be pretty new with granite countertops in the kitchen, full frig, microwave and two burner gas top in the partial kitchen. Didn't expect that and would have planned differently. Was very quiet. Could see the ski slopes from the unit where they were making snow. Enjoyed it very much. I would recommend.

This was our first visit to this resort. A little ahead of the full fall foliage, we did see the beginning of the change in color and enjoyed our stay. Reception was very friendly. Even though our assigned unit was not ready, all effort was made to give us a nice second floor unit #2505A.
The suite was spacious and well appointed and the decor was tasteful.
Our unit was a one bedroom unit, with full kitchen and a cute little balcony. The bathroom was very big and had a hot tub that I enjoyed after a long hike on Mt. Greylock Reservation, a worthwhile tour we made two times.
On the down side: There are no Restaurants on the property. We arranged our days in such a way to have an early dinner before we got home from our daily tours and that worked out OK.
We had dinner once at the John Harvard Pub, a little pricey for a pub, but better then average pub fare and good beer of course.
Another Restaurant we liked was the Olde Forge Inn, a place where the locals hang out and eat which had a lot of character, that might not suit everyone! They had an enormous selection of beers and the food we had was quite original. Since we came early, around 5PM we did not have to wait at all and enjoyed the deck outside and the adjacent room.
We toured all the little towns around and stopped at the Botanical Garden in Stockbridge, a beautiful place that we knew from an earlier visit, and ate at Michaels in Stockbridge.
We tried to visit the two very nice art museums in Williamstown. We had been there in earlier visits, were disappointed however in both cases. The Clark was closed because of renovation and the College Museum of Art was closed on Thursdays.
The area has a lot to offer and many of the little towns have a lot of history.
