Best skiing within easy driving distance from NYC. Everyone who works at the resort is friendly and helpful. Buildings, equipment, and runs are well-maintained. Great lessons and children's programs. You can find better terrain farther north, but a weekend at Jiminy is well worth the 3-hour drive from New York.

This place was recommended by my co-worker because of the trails that is friendly to beginners and low-intermediate. We stayed in the Country Inn and the room was lovely,it's a bit confusing finding your way from the lobby thru the walk ways of the Inn but it ok. The slopes are fine. It would be better if we weren't rained out. Despite the rain and wind ... I enjoyed boarding down. I wish the lifts are open late but because of the weather it's understandable. Definitely considering coming back next winter season.

We have stayed at Jiminy Peak many times over the past 15+ years and have always had a terrific winter experience. We started when the kids were young and just beginning to ski and continue going with the now adult kids (who now ski and board on the expert slopes). It is a wonderful place to stay for both the accomodations and the slopes. We totally enjoy that everything (slopes, food, jacuzzi, gameroom, etc.) is there and readily available on the mountain. You never have to leave. We also really appreciate the eco-friendly way this place is run (love the wind turbine). Every time we stay, we always wonder why there aren't other ski resorts set up the same way. We love this place every time!

JIminey is a terrific place to bring the family for a short weekend getaway. There isn't a tremendous amount to do in the immediate vacinity (shopping, etc) but it has all you need for a relaxing night or two plus quality skiing.
