A new plant-based cafe and store. Everything is vegan but please don't let that scare you. The food is so good - and good for you! I had the Pulseburger- delicious- and can't wait to try the pizza and mac and cheese . And cheesesteak. And cinnamon rolls. And cake...

We are thrilled with the opening of a vegan restaurant in the area that serves up the finest and freshest local ingredients. However, our menu choice during our first visit was not entirely to our liking. We both got the Pulse Burger, a grain patty with great fixins'. We enjoyed the fixins' more than the burger -- gorgeous and delicious heirloom tomatoes, a very acceptable vegan cheddar 'cheese,' fresh crisp green lettuce, delicious carmelized onions. The freshness and high quality of all these products were obvious. We were not taken with the grain burger itself -- the texture was too mushy for our taste. This was served with a choice of either russet or sweet potato wedges, and we enjoyed them both. The fact that we weren't happy with the burger does not discourage return visits. We plan to go through the entire menu... judging from the looks of dishes served to folks at other tables, we definitely want to try some of those and other dishes. We were disappointed that they ran out of the vegan cheesecake for dessert and we do want to return for that. I want to emphasize that we are not discouraged by our first visit's menu choice not being entirely to our liking. The place itself is so attractive and inviting and pleasant; the servers so nice and so helpful, and the ingredients of their offerings of such a high quality, we will return and hopefully make The Pulse Cafe a top-of-our-list restaurant. They do, however, have to work on the Pulse burger. That said, we can't wait to return.
